I was in a double bed room, just above the pub downstairs, and it was noisy until 3a.m. The drainage at the bathroom smells awful. However, staffs are helpful. Location is not bad as it's close to commercial center and old city centre too. I went to another hostel when I need to wash my clothes, with the same price, that hostel is much cleaner, new and comfortable than this hostel.
The staff was very very nice, kind and helpful.
The hostel was not such a Hostel. It was a house with JUST ONE BATHROOM AND ONE SHOWER FOR 12 PEOPLE. And when we got to the room there were not even one cover per bed.
The double private room was so cool (nicer than a hotel but the bed), the staff is so friendly and helpful, but you have a problem of cockroaches =/
For anyone who doesnt really want to be in a travellers atmosphere. Very clean and safe but everything is white, this gives you a hospital like experience. Everything is well cleaned and such
I can't recommend this hotel. The staff gave us the wrong keys, showed us to the wrong room, didn't really give any instructions... The hostel was really noisy, both because of the people staying there and because of the 24-hour bar downstairs. The bathroom was rarely available since it was shared by so many people, and the shower was just terrible. We had to stay for one extra night, but checked out before coming back and they hadn't changed the bed sheets or cleaned the room otherwise...
The staff was just so excellent! Thanks Martin!! The place is located right by the center of the town, it is a walking distance, you can pop out of your hostel anytime you want and you can pop back in easily. The building was a little out of shape, so the bathroom floor has water flood all the time, it was not very pleasant. Common room sofa was out of shape, too. The good thing was the kitchen, everything was there for me to be able to cook. I recommend this place!!
The hallways make the place look like an abandoned hospital or something but the rooms are actually pretty nice. Its an apartment set out with the bathroom/toilet separate, huge rooms, big lockers and a kitchen. The place was very clean. There seemed a great atmosphere here and it wasn't too loud. The guy working on reception was very nice and helpful to! Would recommend to both loan travellers and groups.
The building is really "underground" but it's a good place to sleep. May help have assigned bed and keep cleaner common spaces.
We enjoyed our stay here, but the lack of a seperate common room with good wifi and a good socializing atmosphere is what makes it one of the least hostels I visited on my eurotrip. And quite expensive for what it offers.
My boyfriend and I visited Slovakia, Czech and Poland and stayed in Private rooms in hostels throughout our trip. We stayed at the A1 Hostel at the end of our holiday and it was really awful. It was very expensive (although I have heard that Bratislava is always expensive). We had to share 1 toilet and shower between another private room and 2 mixed dorms, this was not enough! The bins were in reception and really smelt, there were hairs on the bed sheets, it was noisy, the kitchen was filthy.

This hostel is quite simple, which I have No problems with. Something that I didnt like is that the handle on the toilet door kept falling off - something that I suspect should have been fixed before. The room was extremely bright already 6 am due to no curtains. This allows you to get up and explore Bratislava I guess. Juliana the receptionist is probably the highlight of the hostel as she was very accomodating and cheerful.
No nonsense, yet everything you need.
Maybe our timing was bad but we were on the common room floor and there were few groups of young disrespectful persons that were doing the party and who were really loud all night long. No one ever came to ask them to be quiet as the reception is closed at night. The kitchen was always dirty, the bathroom were full of water everywhere, the wifi is only working (sometimes) at the reception. We disliked our stay there even it was near the city center and our room was nice. Won't go again.
Staff were very helpful and accommodating. Location is a short walk away from the Old Town.
This hostel is scary and rundown from the outside so I was apprehensive but the rooms themselves were very clean but the bathroom did get quite wet from the shower! But we felt safe there, it was basic but clean. Staff were very helpful in their knowledge of the area and how to get to he train station. Great value for money, in the city centre
The staff were lovely and very helpful (especially the young guy behind the desk) however the building is graffiti-ridden with holes in the floor, smashed glasses the length of the elevator shaft and an extremely basic bathroom in our room. That being said the bedrooms were quite nice and clean.
