I took a single in this hostel. The staff welcome me with diverse suggestions of where I could spend my free time. Going to the room I discovered that the hostel is made of apartments, with rooms. Therefore the shower and the toilet are shared between the people in one apartment. I heard that there is a common kitchen in one of the flats, but didn't get to see it. The atmosphere is lacking some social setting for people to meet. Since the place was clean, it's good value for money.

A plenty of room for improvement can be done on the cleanliness, character, atmosphere, and facilities in order to induce more backpacker to check in to this hostel.

Location is very close to central Bratislava, walking distance to everything. Friendly staff, cheap hostel, bathrooms are quite old and look a bit run down. You get what you pay for.

The building is pretty destroyed. The appartments are renovated, but the separation in between rooms is really thin and u can hear everything. Was a bit har to sleep.

Wifi doesn't working at all, only on reception. We didin't got towels, which are included in price. Cats walking in rooms, ok I love animals but that's not health...Hostel doesn't accept credit cards, come on this 21st century!

Really impressed by A1 at first looks we thought it would be a dump but inside it was clean, bright, welcoming, comfortable and safe. The owner was very bubbly, happy and helpful and in the reception most the time. The kitchen was basic but had everything you needed to cook something up. Location was fantastic just behind the main "strip", beds were very comfy and the room was spacious. Shower was always hot and powerful.

Facilities were very poor (the bathroom!) and rooms not well conceived (door windows between the rooms: you have noise and light from them). Staff was really kind and ready to help you.

Went for the rating for this hostel, which mis-lead us, i would rather sleep on a bench beside road then here. NOT recommended! Door dont lock, very dirty, no wi-fi in rooms, general atmosphere shady...

I had a good time staying in this hostel. The staff was helpful and the bathroom was kept clean all the time. There's a shared kitchen for those who want to cook. It's near the old town where most of the tourist attractions are located. Highly recommended!

The room was quite dirty when I arrived; there was a lot of dried pasta on the sofa bed, and it seemed like the floor hadn't been cleaned in quite a while. Although it is a communal building, and I understand it is out of the hostel's sole control, the internal door downstairs was often wide open. It meant that anyone could walk up to the front door of the apartment.

A nice hostel idea- rather like an apartment and not the typical hostel type. The IKEA furniture makes you feel comfortable in some way- as it is something many people are used to have in their homes. At the time we were there the hostel was not too busy, which was very comfortable- fully booked it might get a little crowded as an apartment is shared between privates and mixed dorms. Oh, and fun with Oscar the cat being around.
