My stay in this small cozy hostel was really great, everything worked and I've got nothing bad to say to about it. Thanks Alan for all the information and everything! Highly recommended.

Small, cozy hostel in downtown Bratislava. Staff was brilliant and the hostel well taken care of with good facilities. Me and my friend had a lovely stay and had a good night's sleep!

This is a perfect hostel. I enjoyed my stay there very much. First, its position is just around the city center and close to everywhere, though you have to wind into the small lanes to find the place. It's near a bar. Second, there is only one room of 7 in this hostel, so it's really quite and clean with spacious bathroom and clean toilet. Breakfast is simple but the best flavour ever, in a cafe near the hostel. Nice staff. Thanks a lot.

Really nice place, more like staying in an apartment than a hostel. Good location too. Also recommend hiring bikes for just 10 euro / day from http://www.bikerentals.sk

Very good location close to the city centre and train station. I was the only person staying there for one night and the kitchen was filthy, which makes me think it was the hostel's duty to clean it and not like some traveller had left it dirty. The double glazed window in my room was broken so I could hear everything that went on on the road. The mattress was terrible and it was like getting free acupunture. On top of that, there was a very light smell of sewage in the room. Alan was lovely!

The hostel is good, helpfull staff and great location near to the historical center and in a good street with a pub, a shopping centre and a good cineclub just 100 m away. There is almost everything you need inside, and well for my first time in Bratislava I think I found a good place to stay. Only problem I found: last day there were too many people for one common bathroom and I had to wait about half an hour to use it.

When I arrived there, the door was closed and nobody was at reception. i just entered because two guests arrived and opened the door. I had to call to receptionist for to do my check in. Doesn't have any system, no organization and the bathroom was terrible!!! I never will go back there!

Great place with a very friendly and careful owner; extremely close to public transport and Bratislava sights; includes breakfast in a cosy café nearby; big and well-equipped kitchen and bath; and the price is absolutely ok.

Nice and clean place with friendly staff. Location in vicinity of the Old Town and other attractions makes the place suitable even for short breaks in exploring the city.

Bit tricky getting in - if I hadn't had my mobile and been able to call, getting through two security doors could have been a challenge! Otherwise everything great and good advice provided by staff etc.

Very sparse furnishings but they got the job done. Not the cleanest hostel I've ever stayed at but not horrible either. Excellent location, close to transport, sights, and nightlife.

I really enjoyed the 2 nights I spent in A1 Bratislava. The owner is very nice and welcoming. He is ready to help in case you've got a problem, and gives good advice about what to see and to do in Bratislava. The rooms are wide and totally clean and you can connect to the wi-fi inside the hostel. And finally, all this for a price - even for an individual room - which is really attractive !
