the place was very dirty { used sheets, bathroom and general). staff not helpful and did not show any interest. the place itself was not very nice taken care and pretty rotten! value 4 money: no way in any relation!!! many mosquitoes and no net or other protection. also very far away from center town! although we payed in advance, we did not stay there! simply don"t stay there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My basement is cleaner then this!! 1. Mosquitoes are all around you 2.Dirty as I never seen before I run away in 10 minutes when i saw that... I can't believe that someone can rent and charge 18$ per night

The worst hostel in Sri Lanka

It needs better and more responsible staff...needs a lot of work in the rooms and facilities. It's not an accommodation that i would expect on a hostelworld listing. The fans were dangerously low, the bathrooms were falling apart and the walls were quite dirty.

Looks nothing like the pictures, dark, roach infested, holes in the ceiling, obviously someone's home (and not in a good way), no towels, toilet paper or sheets (staff confused as to why we didn't bring our own). Nearly impossible to find. Not close to anything. You will wish you had slept in the airport.

The most convenient part of staying at this hostel, which is rather far from the city centre, is the fact that there is a bus stop down the street. We stayed in some beautiful guest houses in Sri Lanka for only five dollars more (CAD). We had to change rooms in our two-night stay because the bed in one room was so uncomfortable. Overall, we did not feel very welcomed by the staff, and were disappointed that there were no restaurant services offered.

The owner is very friendly and eager to help but the standard of the rooms lets this place down. We saw a couple of rooms, both were very scruffy with knackered beds and not as clean as hoped. The location is a bit hard to find but there is a handy shortcut to the main road - ask the owner.
