The hostel was more than we were expecting. We've already recommended friends and family.

the marquee said one star. it was probably 2 star, some would make it higher. that got our traveling partner unnecessarily agitated. out of control was the political scene on the street. snipers and helicopters. we got a reminder via email a day or so before our booking. would have been nice if it had been a week. as traveling and internet cafes can be problematic.

The location of this hotel is very good. In the middle of Barra Gotic. Unfortuanly many very loud neighbours on the same floor slaming doors, shouthing when the came home. Aircondition was not working so the rooms were very hot. Even though we reserved a 3 bed room in january it was not availeble whem we got there. Anyway I would go back to this hotel again because of the location.

A great stay in the centre of Barcelona. Basic room but everything we needed and perfect location. Would stay here again.

The location is very good. The traffic is very convenient. The price is reasonable. But have not include breakfast.

Photos and description was deceptive. ONline they said that I would be in the nicer hotel across the street, but when I arrived, they said that all discounted or standard rooms were in this hotel Don Jaime. I booked it because it was going to be the other one. Room was like a prison cell, so small and kind of delapidated. However, the location was great. If the place were cheaper, I would understand the kind of hotel it was, but I got an apartment to myself in Amsterdam for 10 euros less

They must say in the website that standard room is not the one in the photo but a very poor and elder one

A mere 2-3 minutes walk to the nearest metro station (Jaume) and 10-15 minutes walk to La Rambla. No complaints as this is what you get for a 1-star hotel.
