Great location, gorgeous art-deco building and spotlessly clean - ive never seen a hostel with so many cleaners! I paid for a dorm and had the whole room to myself. Didnt like that there was a roof immediately below the window which didnt lock. Little social space, and nothing really arranged by the hostel. VERY expensive internet. I stayed here for Comic-Con and booked through this website. I was quoted a rate, but (as the website had overbooked) it was hiked; graciously the staff honored the original rate. Everything was great, the staff friendly, my room was alright, and it was in a prime location for getting the trolley to the Convention Center and the Gaslamp area. I'd definitely stay here again.I stayed here for Comic-Con and booked through this website. the room was toooooooo small.. me and my roommate sat own bed.. our knees were MET! can you imagine? outside of the hostel was not bed.. they advertise that they are 'HOTEL'. and when I was reservated on this website, I prepaid $5 (10% deposit). and I have to pay only $45. BUT THIS HOSTEL WANTED TO ME TAX! so I paid $51. WHY???!! all of hostels are don't ask TAX, except HERE. I think it is UNFAIR. I DISAGREE!! I never again go to there.
