Located outside of San Diego so if you don't have a car it would be difficult to get around. However large and clean room with a fridge, microwave & TV. Free breakfast. Swimming pool available if you have time to use it.

First of all, this is not a hostel; it is a motel. Secondly, the room was very hot when we got there that it was suffocating and it took 24 hrs to feel fresh indoors. We also saw some jumping bugs in the room, but we weren’t sure if they were cockroaches, or bedbugs. Consequently, it wasn't easy to fall as sleep feeling safe and tranquil. Finally the free breakfast time table ends so early (9:30am) that it wasn't possible to have any. We wish they had a better service

This is more a hotel than a hostel, or rather a motel. There is no common room. It is more a place in order to have a good sleeep before exploring SD. It is located in the city of El Cajon next to San Diego. It was hidden in their directions so i had to ring them to ask for the city in order to put it in the GPS. As well it was called in fact Travel Lodge. The staff is very nice and very helpful. They can advise you what to visit. The breakfast was excellent! Free wifi! (not too fast though)
