I really appreciated the front desk help. Mohammed, I believe his name was, was extremely helpful and polite. A true professional and I really appreciated when he would go above and beyond to help me finding bus schedules to understanding transport on the train. Thank You!

Overall, the experience was fine. It\'s a decent hostel. The cleaning staff was excellent and very nice. The desk staff was alright. For the money, it was a good experience, and I would stay there again.

In the heart of The Gaslamp this a a great location is not for the lack of hostels but the atmoshere. Is loud at night and weekends but your not there to sleep. I live in Hawaii and I was raised in San Diego the only diffrence is that S.D. has more people and we have more sunny day. I would defintly come back and stay. The people make ou feel at home and help you get the most out of the city. Mahalo & Ahloha

Not for Backpackers looking to interact with fellow travellers. Most occupants seem like divorced Americans trying to find a bed while they work things out with thier wives.... or people trying to find work. A clean simple bed for the night, ok if thats what youre looking for.

The dorm was the smallest w/lack of hooks or underbed space. Maintenance staff great, day desk staff indifferent and unhelpful.

Nice place but very noisy and dorm rooms are very small. Hard to find a place for you luggage when you share a room.

I have no complaints. The hostel exceeded my expectations. It was clean, it had individual bathrooms that could be locked, and it was open 24 hours a day. They provided linen, towels, and washcloths, and free wi-fi. It was within walking distance from the Amtrak station and the blue and orange trolley lines. It was right by the bus stop for the airport bus.

My only complaint was that the kitchen did not have any in-house cooking supplies - a very minor complaint and the kind of trade off a place may need to make (since people don\'t always clean up after themselves). The bathrooms were very clean, and even though they were down the hall, there were individual, locked, toilets, sinks, and showers. Good privacy, safety.

I am from Michigan and travel. I was very pleased in every respect. The hotel is located only 2 blocks from Amtrak and this is a great neighborhood. Unlike many cities Amtrak is located in nice neighborhood. Across the street from the hotel is Citi Bank. The rooms at the hotel are clean. There is no noise and the hotel staff is most friendly. In the morning there is free coffee at 7 am in the lobby along with apples. In every so many ways this is a European budget hotel. It is a great place

I found this to be a decent place to spend a night. It was really handy for the train station and it was quiet at night, although the doors are quite noisy when they close. The bathrooms were clean and had good privacy.

Very spartan decoration everywhere except the reception area. Bed was clean and comfortable and there was always plenty of hot water in the showers which are private and clean. Noise from the train station stops at midnight and other than that the place its pretty quiet but its you are a light sleeper then take ear plugs. Wifi was quick and free and was a good feature, a even my private rom had no tv our radio.
