cheap and clean hostel near airport LAX, ideal if you need to be quickly to airport, but a little far from touristic places in LA.

We booked this place as it was cheap and close to the airport. Found very little reviews on the place, with it's name which we are unsure of? Is it no Econo Lodge? We couldn't find it on trip advisor...booked it anyway. Place was clean but in a VERY dodgey area, 99.9% sure there that it was pretty much a brothel. Hookers were in the stairwells and corners....noise all night, screaming fighting........ Room was clean and done the job, but never again, we never felt safe

If you want to go on budget and you do not pretend too much, this place is ok. Quite clean, breakfast poor but ok and secure place. But be aware, the place is far away from the downtown (at least 1.5/2 hours by car) and this means that if you do not have a car or you do not like to drive in crazy freeway go somewhere else.

I knew this hotel would be bad when I walked in and the concierge sat behind bullet proof glass. This motel is in a sketchy neighborhood. There are no good grocery stores in the immediate vicinity. The room was dirty. It did not have a blow dryer or a coffee maker. The tub had a brown residue on the bottom. I had to shower with flip flops on. I asked for a non-smoking room and got a smoking room. My clothing reeked the next day.
