AAE Miami Beach Lombardy Hotel and Hostel Reviews

This is not a typical hostel, it is more a hotel. Very good for someone who is not a party person and is looking for accomodation near the beach. Rooms a are big, clean, a/c, witb bath and kitchen. Free parking. Very close to the beach and food store. This is what I was looking for.

Our first night there was terrible. There were many big bed bugs and the bathroom was really dirty. We ask for changing room and the staff agreed. They also cleaned our new room with a special machine to kill the bed bugs. The location of the hostel is very good, with the beach close to the hostel and the bus station to go to the city.

I like the rooms, however I think that carpets should be cleaner as in my room (134) there were spots in some parts. Also, in the corridor the smell was a little bit strong.

Very great! And for this room that price is excellent! Thanx coming back... Nice grezze from Austria!!

It is a good Hostel. I had only two problems there: 1 - cold water in the shower was not working; 2 - The lady that comes in for work at eight did not know about a person that was with me in the room and did not let him get in. He had to wait two hours.

Old fashioned, rundown

We enjoyed our stay at the Lombardy, our room was very clean and comfortable. The location is lovely too, in the more relaxed, quieter north beach area, with south beach a quick taxi ride away, the best of both beaches are easily accessible. The staff is fantastic too, very friendly and helpful. highly recommended.

The location is really close to the beach but not very central. You can find restaurants and shops if you walk north for some blocks. Loud streets. The rooms are OK. Parking is exciting. You have to leave your key at the reception so that they can move your car because all cars block others. The small restaurant is surprisingly good and with very friendly staff.

Clean your lobby top to bottom nice light fixtures but dirty drab drab colors depressing add some red, any bright color! Hallways horrible - low lighting, strong smoke smells, bad carpeting, scary! Wash the walls, bright paint, good lighting, hang some colorful pictures. Bedroom carpet stained, poor lighting, very ugly bedside lamp that didn't work. Paint bright color on wall behind appliances, pull up carpeting, paint a fun mural on a wall. Clean up, spruce up, and cheer up

Old facilities but cosy. Staff extremely kind.

The hostel was very good for the price. I\'ve been to New York and San Francisco before, payed more, but the hostels were not this good. The staff was really nice and helped wherever they could.

the room I lived in was near the main road so it was so noisy at night.That made me can't fall asleep. And the facilities was not so clean.

Room: Modern furnishing and decoration. Clean and nice-looking room, bathroom and kitchen. Staff: Friendly and helpful. Location: Close to a beach (tough not South Beach), good bus communications down to south Miami Beach.

A bit far from South Beach, the shops, restaurants, bars ect., but close to a nice, calm beach and the bus to the Southern part of Miami Beach. The room was nice and big. The kitchen was a bit short on supllies, such as knives and forks - but it worked fine for us. Helpful staff and cleaning every day. And a good café is connected to the place.

It's more a cheap hotel than an hostel. With a car, the location is great, only 15 mn driving distance from the Art Deco area and 3 mn walking distance from the nearest beach. Small parking lot but still really convenient.
