Great Hostel, more like a Hotel! Nice furniture and the Breakfast was okay. 40 Minutes away from Manhattan, but the Metro is very close!

Overall is good, definitely value for the money. The only problem (and a HUGE one that is, if you're in NY for a short trip) is the distance to Manhattan. I tried using both MTA subway and driving to and from Manhattan, both are as equally hectic and time consuming...

This hostel/hotel uses same kind of marketing techniques as seen with second hand car dealers etc. First of all it is NOT a hostel and NEVER was, as told/lectured by the grumpy receptionist, when confronted with their 19$ dorm bed add. Dorm beds are NOT available at this HOTEL. My 1st floor room was in the basement ! If I didn’t keep my curtains closed, people from the sidewalk could look into my bed. At check out, and I was to pay the $80.99 balance, $15.45 misc. taxes and fees was added.

I had to wait more than an hour standing at the federal circle for the pick up bus. I had to call them thrice every 30 minutes. This is not acceptable.

The best hostel we have ever been in! Looks rather like a hotel. They clean daily, daily change of towels, great breakfast (though boring after 3 days). Quite far to the City Center (WTO is 50 minutes), but there is direct subway connection to main places of interest. I highly recommend this hostel!

Booked 3 bed room. Apparently 3 bed room in USA = 1 double bed and 1 single bed. Double bed was barely any bigger than single bed. They only mention this "bed configuration" in the small print of your booking confirmation. Breakfast was decent and free shuttle was provided to and from airport. Surrounding area is a dump. Wouldn't bother exploring the area especially after dark. All sorts going on. Overall, price is a con when you dont even get enough beds to sleep on. Wouldn't go back.

Warning: Do NOT book via hostels.com! The so-called \"10% deposit\" is NOT for the hotel but just for the website (as falsely advertised)! Book directly through the hotel and not the website in case you don\'t want to waste $60-80!!! Besides, the hotel is not very clean! Thank you for the foot fungus, I am serious: I caught foot fungus there! :(

Location is close to the subway but the neighborhood is horrible. I was charged the 10% deposit twice because the staff said it was a Hostels.com charge. The place is very creepy and unfriendly it is really bad for the price they charge.

great value for small money don´t be afraid that it might be far away from Manhattan. the metro costs only 2.25 and it is only a couple of minutes further away but is way cheaper for a proper hotel. enjoy ! and dont forget the "unlimited ride"-metro for 30 $ for unlimited use for 7 days. then the trip is even more worthy

I was not very impressed with the locking system with the room we were in. At least 9 out of the 12 days we could not access the room as the machine wouldnt accept both cards to the room. Also, the door felt like it didnt close properly. The location was about 20minutes from the city centre, which didnt bother me, however the area is not very good-while we were there someone had thrown a firebomb and caused problems. free breakfast was great and the room was clean & exceeded my expectations

- rude people above all cleaning ladies, furthermore, most of the staff doesn't speak English, no communication was possible. - in bedroom, they stole our towel (only cleaning ladies have access so...). - bathtub and toilet never cleaned. When we arrived, there was red hair on the seat (we both have brown hair....). - not profitable stay, we paid almost 400 dollars for 4 days with such horrible service.

Hotel is quite loud, little to no insulation between rooms. Neighborhood seems sketchy on arrival but is fine.

Whole place smelled like smoke, the bathroom had been updated recently but the bedroom was dingy. Staff was not very nice.

The Hostel was clean, convenient and adequate. Excellent location (near the direct subway line to the Manhattan) and Shuttle to the Airport at 5 30 which took only 20 minutes in the morning was very helpful I l will gladly stay there again and recommend to my friends.
