Great location, rooms wonderful, long line for showers in the morning and the lock on the bathroom was broken, but we loved our time in Chicago. thanks for making that possible.

There are no communal areas in this hostel, it's more like a hotel that shares bathrooms, which by the way there is only one bathroom and two shower stalls for about ten rooms but other than that the location is fun because it's right in Greektown and less than a ten minute walk from downtown chicago. we felt safe in the room and the neighborhood and the room was very clean.

this hostel does not have double rooms and the information on transport to it from the airport is incorrect, this is Hostelworlds mistake, not the owners, who happens to be the lovliest lady ever and gave us a free lunch in her greek restaurant and couldn't apologise enough for the mix up. I hope the details have been amended now as $30 each on transport from the airport was a little STEEP cos of the mis-information!! Other than that this hostel was GREAT!!

The place was ok but way over priced. Theres no breakfast and everybody mostly kept themselfs to themselfs. We were also charged $30-$40 tax on top of the original HostelWorld price. This is the only place so far that has done this. I pretty sure it was really included already. The place it self was very clean and the location in Greek Town was ok with plenty of places to eat and lively bars. Overall though, was ok but well over priced for what it was and wont be going back.

It was all in all a good stay. I liked the quiet. I wasn't told alot and staff not very friendly or available. Except for restaurant part which was very helpful, I didn't see much staff or feel welcomed. I did have a woman come to give me a fan one night, first time I saw any staff for a day or two, and she was very nice and made me feel comfortable. They need more staff doing this. Room pretty plain, worked okay for me. Not much more to it. Read Owner Comments

great price for a great location. not much in terms of socializing opportunities within the hostel, but being in the midst of greektown is a definite bonus. the building is quite old, but the furnishings are all very new and quite nice. showers were hot and beds were comfy!

I call this the "hostel" from hell:
They made me wait 6 hours to get a room
Someone started doing repairs next door my room at 6am ... I was resting!
The owner of the whole building is a total jerk
the hostel manager and the rest of the staff were really nice , but that doesnt erase the bad memories
No kitchen or lobby to hang out and interact with people
Great location , close from several place on walking distance Read Owner Comments

Thought I was staying in a homeless shelter. Showers were freezing and disgusting. Must have heard us screaming because of cold water and 'flipped the hot water switch' water them came out brown. Window did not lock, no screen next to a guppy. Did not feel safe at all. Do not stay here!
