Location is brilliant. The cheap price is also good, but unfortunately it reflects the low standard. I have to say that this is one of the most shabby hostels I’ve ever stayed in. When you enter the hallway, you are basically welcomed by an unpleasant smell and a pile of mess (clothes, bags of breakfast cereals etc.). The hostel itself seems to be clean, but in desperate need of maintenance. It is located on the basement floor, which in itself is a negative thing. Felt like a firetrap.

I had a wonderful stay at Allgirlz. The location was ideal, the staff amazing, I believe it was Ashleigh. She was fantastic. All in all, it was a great experience.

The hostel was super cute and very homey. The staff was friendly and helpful. It was clean and comfortable. The wifi works throughout the hostel. Only thing is that it's on a big but quiet street about 20 minutes from the main area. Also I found the front door open and my room door open around midnight because you have to pull to close. Otherwise, great hostel, super cozy.

Brilliant hostel for females. Very clean and comfortable room. The bunk bed didnt rock or squeek when someone got on the top bunks. Lovley staff very helpful. They provide hairdryers and straighteners (enought said) but also shampoo, conditioner and not to forget a full breakfast that was delicious. Cereals, fruit, yoghurt, eggs, bread and spread. The kitchen is fully equipped and easy to locate items. Very nice and comfortable hostel. I have travelled around the world twice and found it great.

Stayed here for 2 nights during the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Loved it! Great location. Liz, who runs the hostel is an absolute diamond, so friendly! The hostel is very cosy & clean & so chilled. Would definitely stay here again!!

Love, love, love this hostel. Loved meeting Kylie and Liz was an amazing manager. Such a friendly atmosphere, super chilled out. I love how they include shampoo and stuff, so handy. Will defiantly be returning here when I come back to Edinburgh.

Friendly staff and atmosphere. Very clean and well maintained; I would recommend and/or book another stay.
