Staff were not available to help at any point of the day or night. Only time they arrived was for money which they then over charged my account. Noise complaint made. No response or help with that. Basic rooms - over priced for the money charged.

i stayed for 2nights, and didn't see any staffs in the guesthouse. i only got my room key and room no. on the reception deck, no any check-in/ check-out information, no wifi info, no any support. that's not a good experience.

The room and the kitchen were clean but altogether the location was a bit rundown. And you could meet the staff only in the morning. It was the worst accomodation we had in Iceland and not the cheapest.

A great place relatively walking distance from most places (assuming you are used to walking). Clean and certainly a great value for the price. Easy to get there from the airport (The bus will drop you off right there) Nice rooms! Would stay there again!

Great location. Lots of information available for things to do/see. Clean rooms and common areas.

This hostel was good for a few nights in central Reykjavik. Clean, comfortable and good value. Use of kitchen facilities and shared bathroom - which there was a bit of a que for in the morning. Good location as only a short walk to the main street.

Cheapest place around although still a little expensive when comparing to other countries hostels There is not 24 hr reception there so be careful to arrange a time Overall nice little place ..

My husband and I stayed at AR Guesthouse for three nights. We found the hostel to be safe and clean. The staff was also very friendly. We would definitely recommend this hostel.

We liked the hostel and the location a lot. Telephone and internet were very useful and hostel was well equipped. What surprised us was the fact that the our credit card had been charged automatically and we only got a receipt as a notice for this when we came to the hostel. This is ok, but maybe you could mention this policy already by booking. Also the fact that the outdoor is open in all times might cause security issues in the future, when people find out that you can just walk in.

Nice location and a good size, not to crowded. It would be nice if there where one at the reception at a specific time, maybe in the morning and in the evening or something like that. And better specification on what to bring for sleeping, because it where different from other hostel/guesthouses, and it wasn't writen on the page. and maybe some shelfs or cabins in the room(s)... Otherwise I nice place :)

Great location, very clean and with good quality beds. Each room has a table and chairs and a tray so you can take your breakfast there from the very well equipped kitchen[self cater].There is a patio with chairs and table and the back yard has grass so if sunny pleasant to hang outside. There is a computor [free] and a telephone for local use.The owner is very helpful and friendly and directed us to a great swimming pool with "hot pots" also close to the pool is a small but good food store.

Nice place to stay. Very clean and comfortable. The rooms are a bit loud (you can hear your neighbors conversations). Close to the harbor and a quick walk to the main street.

Brilliant guesthouse. Clean, safe, close to city centre

Nice AR ghestouse near to the center, in a quiet street. The room was lovely and the kitchen practical. There was internet free all the time but it was missing a common room. The owner was very available and accommodating.
