Tracy was amazing!!! I arrived with no working bank cards and no Euros in cash. She allowed me to stay on deposit and merit until I could get it sorted, AND loaned me 20 euros for dinner and a few pints that first night!!!

If you are looking for a quiet place, clean, with a very helpful host this is the place! We spent a very good trip. Thanks!

It's very close to the bus and train station, so it's a great option for those travelling by these means. It's also very close to the city centre.

Tracy was fantasic. Very nice. Helpful. Cheery. The hostel is a bit of a walk(15-20 min) from pretty much anything. Great for a couple of nights.

Staff very friendly. Rooms and common rooms very clean. The bathroom was ok. The only problem is the kitchen is too small! Anyway I highly recommend this hostel!

Super comfy beds, the place is maintained well and houses great staff. Downsides are no breakfast and no lockers for your stuff.

The owner (Tracey) is absolutely wonderful! She made me feel at home instantly. The hostel is quaint and well-kept. Other visitors had stayed there on previous occasions as well. Everyone was friendly and relaxed. Tracey knows the area very well, including prices of tickets to and from surrounding towns. Very knowledgeable, and very helpful with suggestions! Thanks for everything! :D

If you are looking for a hostel with a hotel vibe, this is not your place. It feels like home, or a bed and breakfast - but hostel style.

Aaran hostel was lots of fun. It was cold in the rooms (and freezing in the kitchen) and the showers took AWHILE to heat up, but overall, everything was clean and felt safe.

The hostel isn't too bad, but what surprised me was that you can't check in between 2pm and 4pm. Therefore me and my friend had to carry our luggage and bags around the city for 2 hours.. But the staff is very nice and friendly.

Tracy was the best part about Aaran House! She was welcoming, and made this hostel feel like home. The rooms and bathrooms were very clean, and everyone was very friendly.

It is just okay for the money you spend. A bit cold, but nice and clean place to stay in for a couple of days. The owner is a pleasant woman, always ready to help you in your trip or just to chat with you. The free Wi-Fi is good for general use in both the bedroom and the common area without any technical issues.

The hostel location was kind of hard to find but once you get there you are greeted by the lovely owner, she is very nice and helpful. The rooms are nice, standard hostel rooms and the bathroom was clean which is all one can hope for. It was an average hostel, not very lively but if you're looking for a more "home" feel this one was very relaxing and quiet. A good place to stay for a night. No lockers in room, no where to store luggage, no breakfast are just some things to note.

The rooms were just a bit cold, but the Tracy (the landlady) is an absolute darling and the kitchen is available for anyone at anytime. Excellent place.

Good little hostel with lovely staff. Very knowledgable. Rooms were average poor sleep due to beds being so noisy and rock hard. No breakfast so rather expensive for what it is. Tracey made the stay though she was really nice, but unfortunately I would not return.
