Tracy was an excellent host. She efficiently checked us in, described the in and outs of the hostel and gave us great advice on attractions, tours and nightlife. The facilities at the hostel were good; small but comfortable beds, hot showers, well equipped kitchen and a good common area for meeting fellow travelers. Would definitely stay here again.

Tracy is so helpful and friendly she really made my stay at Aaran house excellent. The facilities are good and the whole place is extremely clean. Great location, a short walk from the bus or train station and close to the centre of town. Would definitely stay again!

This was the best hostel I've ever stayed in. Tracey was very helpful and friendly and immediately puts people at ease. The kitchen was very well equipped and there was plenty of space for more than one person to cook at a time.

Offers everything a hostel should, and is run by tracy - a really helpful and friendly woman. Feels homey and welcoming. Doesn't have lockers but I never really felt like I needed one.

It's a pity the wifi didn't work in our room. Despite this we had a good time there!

My second stay and I am glad I came back. It is a nice quiet place to pass a weekend in Cork. Far enough from town to not be filled with noisy drunks, but not too far as to be inconvenient. Tracy is a lovely host and the place has a very 'at home' atmosphere which I like. Decent comfy beds and plenty of hot water. Thanks!

Just like all the other reviews say, Tracy is AMAZING and makes you feel more at home than hosts at our bed and breakfasts did. She is just like a fun Mom who is so willing to help. She gave us info about what to see and do. The hostel is simple but very comfortable and clean. We felt at home as we waited for the rest of our party and watched tv in the common room. Not a party hostel at all, but good for a quiet, relaxing atmosphere.

I just loved my stay at Aaran House Tourist Hotel. I went there with 4 friends and every one has the same opinion. The hostel has a good location and it's very good. The person who served us, Tracy, was very kind and talked a lot with us. She gave us some tips on where should we go and the place was awesome. That's it! If you go to Cork, Aaran House is a great option!

I arrived before the regular check in times but Tracy let me check in early. I was only there for one night and left quite early in the morning but the free wifi worked well and it seemed like a great place to stay! It is surrounded by B and B's but for a hostel it was above average. I would stay there again if I were travelling through Cork.

Best hostel I have ever stayed at. The woman who ran it was incredible. She was very helpful and so nice. It was very clean and comfortable. Location was perfect- just across from the train station. This hostel greatly improved my visit to Cork.

Very friendly place to stay, a lot of other guests here too. The kitchen was a bit messy during out stay. There was a sink in our room as well as a bathroom just outside the room, the shower is a push button system so it can be a bit annoying having to keep hitting the button but it was nice and hot after a few pushes. Not too far from town, we walked it in about 15 minutes. Parking on the street out the front, it was free due to the bank holiday but I think in general you'll have to pay.

Tracy, the woman who ran the hostel was one of the nicest people I've ever met. She helped us get around to where we needed to be and booked a tour for us. Definitely would return to this hostel just because of her.

Tracey, the owner, is great fun, as all the other reviews also say. There is free wifi and a TV in the lounge, which kinda kills much of the conversation with fellow travellers especially if you're on your own. the bathroom I used was damp and smelly and was right next to my room so you could hear everything!!! rooms were clean though but the kitchen was not so clean, small and poorly stocked. I wouldn't stay here again.
