There is a great atmosphere at Abbasi Palace where the staff are very cool and very helpful. It's in a perfect location in the middle of town. It's great as a really cheap place for a brief stay. But the rooms could be better - my room was a bit shabby, chilly and not particularly clean. But I paid so little for it that I can't complain. For a short stay the downsides were more than compensated for by the general vibe of the place.

Hostel is situated in a very good location within walking distance to most sights in Amman. Extremely friendly and welcoming staff - my goodness I've never experienced anything like them in the hostels I've stayed in throughout the world. Staff clearly understand what good customer service is here - WELL DONE!. Only dislike was with the Wi-Fi - extremely unreliable and it was only available in the common room. Hostel rooms would benefit from being renovated and improving Wi-Fi.

I arrived in the middle of the night at 1:30 AM, but were never the less welcomed by 2 very alert staff members offering me a cup of tea.. Next morning I got very usefull directions for my Amman sight seeing. A good breakfast was included in the price. A very homely dining room/living room ais part of the premises. Good value for little money.

Very nice place to stay. Special thanks to the staff - very friendly people who will always help you. Very interesting to chat with also. Good choice of tours for reasobable prices. Location is very center in downtown near Al Hussein Mosque but it's a little difficult to find a place at the first time.

Good hostel in a good location for exploring Amman. Staff were great and very helpful. When coming from the bus station grab a service taxi to avoid getting over charged.

The Hostel has a great feel, the staff are nice and very helpful!!! But if you visiy during the winter months you better bring some Long-Johns because there is no heating at all, but they give you extra blankets and a small heater for the room!!!

We loved the Abbasi Palace! The staff are fantastic, especially the absolutely crazy (in a very good way) lady who runs it, eh baby?! The location is also killer, and the fact that the hotel has a bit of a funky feel didn't bother me at all!

This is the second time I have stayed here and I loved it as much the second time as I did the first time. Everyone there is really friendly and helpful and the hostel is in a great location, the included breakfast is delicious too.

Abbasi Palace Hotel knows how to do business. Things are run simply and efficiently, but the price is still reasonable and the people are spectacular. The only remotely bad thing I can say about it is that my door was slightly broken (didn't lock from the inside). Also, there was no heater and it was the middle of winter, so I was freezing, but I knew that going in and there were plenty of blankets.

The only bad thing was that there is no door that protects the hostel from street, u enter directly with the elevator...However, the neighbourhood seemed secure and we never worried about that ^^

The rooms were run down a bit; they should have tile floors, not carpet! But they were cheap private rooms, The staff were great, but a bit overworked; and one morning no one was there to let a couple leave - they were literally locked in for 15 minutes and had to go to the airport! The cat is great, and in the evening guests are served tea and sweets in the common room! Location is an easy walk from the only sites in Amman - the Citadel/Archaelogical area. It's also in the run-down Souk area.

The Staff is very, very friendly. Feel like it is to be a guest in Jordan! The Rooms and the Rest-Rooms are not soo good. But as we said, the staff is perfect.

First, the staff were very, very friendly and helpful - helped us to book tours, and gave us good info about the area. We spent a second night there, and it was like coming home! The rooms were variable - our first was a bit run-down and grubby, but the second was fresh and clean. The showers worked and the toilets were clean.
