The hostel is well located to Harvard Ave and all its restos and clubs. But it is very very dirty, especially with mice running around and leaving their droppings in the room.

We loved it! Came way too early to check in and got our room within 1 hour. The staff is SO nice! Never had people like that before in a hostel. The surrounding is almost peaceful, kind of far from Downtown though. Definitely the right place for people who need to get away from noise and high traffic. Everything was clean, the beds were good, microwave and fridge working. Awesome place!

The staff is kind enough since he let me leave the backpack after checking out. I had a plan to go to Harvard uni and it was just 20-30 minutes walk from the hostel. Someone say that the hostel is dirty, but I didn't feel bad. I will stay there if I will have a plan to go to Harvard!

1. I booked 4- bed room from Hostelworld. It turned out to be a room with 2 bed. Each bed was supposed to have 2 people. That was really awkward. 2. The heater was most of the time off. Somebody may feel cold at night. 3. The "bedbug" in previous comments didn't happen to us. But I did smell something like pesticide. 4. Good thing is, the living room in the suite is large, with necessary appliances.

We really enjoyed staying here, staff were friendly and helpful and the location wasn't far from the city centre. Could have done with some more kitchen facilities or at least a kettle!

The staff was very courteous and it was a pleasant stay; a very clean bathroom is important for me. I read some reviews about bed bugs, so I brought an extra sheet and I had no problem at all.

Actually I never leave comments on webpages like this - I dont care. But this place is worth to make an exception. IT WAS REALLY REALLY BED. Dont choose this place unless you really cant afford something a bit more expensive.

I\'m totally satisfied with that stay. For sure, will stay again if I have to (2 times before I stayed at Backpackers & \"Pub\"- that was disgusting) Beds are amazing- like at home. I\'ve never seen that before at a hostel. A fridge in a room. The place is very clean. Good location. Cons: heating is too weak. No kitchen, no common area (the last one is not really a problem for me). The worst part for me and for my roommates was internet access. It was so slow- like a dial-up. A lot of disconnections

Not too close to downtown, but close to public transport, and the neighborhood has some nice bars. Staff was friendly, beds/bathrooms were clean. It\'s a good deal.

Nice hostel, located near Harvard and student bars. Only had one night and didn't spend much time in the hostel so can't speak much of the hostel, but there was plenty happening in the area. Not in the city centre but that could be a good thing. Tram isn't too far away but did have a little trouble finding it at night.

Rooms are comfortable in the large cozy old country style house. Parking is somewhat limited but okay.

If you are a brazilian or latino, this is a cool area with lots of stores which sell amazing food. It's a bit far from downtown boston but the price of the hostel is worth it. It`s very cosy and neat and you get to meet nice people if you share a room in the hostel. I would definetely get back to this amazing place.

Farrington Inn is a great place if you looking for a cheap and uncomplicated lodging. I stayed in a mixed dorm which was small but and nice and had TV. Unfortunately, the guys in my room were snoring but when I asked for another room the next morning, I got another dorm without any extra charge and nobody else turned up so I had de facto a single room which was great. The staff is super friendly and helps you with all your needs ( hair dryer, plug converter). It's located in a nice neighboorhood

It is freezing! Immediatly ask for an extra blanket and heater because in the winter time it's really cold. Could also be because our heater in the room was broken, so check it before. First night we had a very bad night because of the cold, but the next morning we did get extra heater and blankets easily, so staff is definitely keen to help out if you tell them.

for 35 dollars a night, we enjoyed a big suite with a \"shared bathroom\" we were the only two to use. We took advantage of a a big bedroom, a living-room with a kitchen and a valuable big bathtube (appreciable when it\'s 10 degrees C outside). The area is not exactly close to the main monuments but it\'s a student area that allowed us to really feel the vibes of Boston and its busrsting character.

The building is really old so I'm not sure it is clean enough but still I'm really satisfied with the hostel. The old furniture has, in a way, a good antique atmosphere and I didn't think it was filthy. It was a bit far from downtown but the hostel was surrounded by various good restaurants and taking the fare in consideration, the location is still good. The hostel will lend you towels.
