The only youth hostel in aberdeen, but facilities are good. There are some people living there for years.

I am sorry to say that this hostel was a huge disappointment. While it was clean and the staff friendly enough it had about as much atmosphere as a mental asylum. I felt extremely uncomfortbale there. This was due to a combination of bland and institutional decor and the wide array of clients, most of whom seemed to be between housing rather than travelling. It was really a depressing place. In the end i decided not to stay here and instead forked out for a hotel.

It's the only game in town, really, but it could use some sprucing up. Also, 6 pounds for like an hour of internet is preposterous.

The building was very beautiful and the room was nice and not crowded. The location was very good, few minutes walking from the city center. An excellent choice to stay in Aberdeen.

I asked when I checked in if I could have a bottom bunk and I was told that there was none available. I walked past the reception 1 hour later and the guest checking in was being asked if they wanted an upper or lower bunk! There also is a problem with theft of food put in the fridge. Even when labelled.
