A very quaint hostel with a brilliant friendly vibe and atmosphere. Very easy to meet other travelers due to the cosy kitchen - happy hour is a must. The location admittedly is a bit out of the way, but you can catch a tram easily or just go exploring other neighbourhoods and walk everywhere. I really liked the games in the common room and breakfast area.
Wow. Great hostel filled with great, friendly, helpful people. Amazing place to meet new people to explore the city with, perfect for anyone travelling alone. It's located just out of the city centre but still a short and pleasant walk to everywhere in the city!
This is how a hostel should be like. The atmosphere is very familiar and from the moment you come in you feel like you are staying with a lot of friends who you just haven't met yet. If I'm in Belgium this will always be my spot to go for.
The feel of this place is unlike anything I've experienced. It's a cozy living-room-with-a-bar place, in a relaxed and social environment that makes it easy for people to talk. The staff are engaging and fantastic. The location is a short transit away from main stations, a minor inconvenience, but the directions are easy to follow and you'll be there in a few minutes. I was very much hoping to relax in the hammocks outside but the weather didn't agree. Would definitely go again when in Antwerp.
This hostel has everything, from a washer/dryer (costs €5) to a 6-9 happy hour. I honestly couldn't be happier with my stay here. If you find yourself in Antwerp, Abhostel is the place to stay!
Like the trusting environment in the hostel. Eggs in the morning to eat as you please was a refreshing bonus. A bit of a walk from the main station but you get used to it soon.
Greg & Bridget are so so lovely and helpful! The hostel is about a 20 minute walk from the main tourist area, but is quiet and safe.
Everyone at this hostel was so warm, welcoming, and accommodating! A very homey feel throughout. People really use the common area which helps add to the atmosphere. I had a great time and suggest it to anyone! The location is in a more alternative part of town and is about a 15 min walk from central station, but you can get from one end of the town to the other in 30 min so it was a fine location overall.

I really liked staying in the hostel, the person who made my check in was super nice and helpful and explained everything about the city and showed me around the hostel. one of the best hostels I've ever stayed in.
Great atmosphere, people (both staff and travellers) were so friendly, loved the common room area!
The stuff really kind. Quiet in general. Good and complete kitchen. Everything cleaned. Good WiFi connection.
Very good atmosphere and advice from the staff! Awesome place to find awesome people! Just take earplugs in case there's a ssnoring guy in the dorm ;)
Abhostel was quite a nice place to stay. The owners were very kind and went well out of their way to help me with finding a bank that would allow me to withdraw money using my debit card. The facilities were very nice and spacious. The only major downside was that the atmosphere was not particularly social, as the hostel was quite empty when I stayed.
They do a good job of making you feel welcome. All the staff are great, and offer plenty of advice. This is a great hostel: clean and the facilities are spectacular.
We were not quite sure about the Check-Out. That hasn't been explained to us. Also, the explanation with the door lock system has been difficult in the beginning and we had to ask for some help.
Wonderful hostel! The greeting and informative introduction was a fantastic touch. Love the energy conservation and the freedom given to guests to utilize a well stocked kitchen. Common area is huge along with an outdoor terrace. The whole hostel feels more like a chilled out home. Wifi is strong & reliable. The showers are great with hooks for your clothes including area to dry and dress. Staff and volunteers are über friendly and happy to help! It's one of the nicest hostels I've stayed in.
The Hostel is amazing. Really gives you a confortable feeling of home. The staff is really nice and always there to help with anything. The common area is a cozy place where you can have coffee, cook your meal and meet a lot of people. The location is in a scatchy neighbourhood that may give a bad impression at first but it is walking distance from all main attractions.
Very close to the tram stop and it will take you a few minutes to the city centre. Great room, as there are plugs for each bed with a small holder so you can keep your mobile charging overnight next to you. You also have a lamp if you want to read when dark. There are lockers in each room. Great kitchen and fantastic breakfast (you can cook eggs provided as breakfast, toasts, tea, coffee,..). The map provided is great and the owners will give you great advice about where to have a drink or food
Just the way a hostel should be! It's run by the friendliest and most helpful people and has a very nice common area. Located in an upcoming neighbourhood of Antwerp with nice bars and restaurants around, but not to far away from the city center (half an hour of walking or couple of minutes by tram). Really enjoyed the time at abhostel!
