The hostel is awesome! It is the best place to stay if you want to connect to the city, the surrounding area, and other travelers. One night I was there, other travelers in our room were noisy and kept the lights on until almost 2am and were talking to each other. But the other nights it was no problem, and certainly not within the control of the hostel.
I found the key to the room to not work very well and I woke up some roommates while jiggling the key so much and trying to get it to open. Other than that, the hostel was very helpful with finding our way around the city and I was happy with the level of cleanliness and comfort for the price considering this is in central Jerusalem.
The great thing about this place is the atmosphere upstairs and the people you will meet staying there. It is one of the well know hostels in jerusalem and has a cool upper room where lots of people hang out and eat. The facilities, location, and cleanliness are average. The HORRIBLE thing about this place is the STAFF. Rude and stuck up. Make no attempt at making you feel welcome or answering questions if you need help. The only time they seem to "perk up" is if money is involved. Tours, etc.
Very large and well setup hostel. Massive kitchen/dining/bar area which is great. Good breakfast. Good facilities. Wifi is a bit slow though. If you need fast wifi (for skype) then you need to pay to use the PC's there.
Good location and a light rail station right out the front that can take you to the Old City if you'd prefer not to walk (15-20mins walk). Rooms were clean, but they are fairly noisy as there didn't seem to be much soundproofing between rooms or the hallway. Wifi was decent in the common areas, not as good in the dorms. The staff weren't great - not rude, just not very friendly. The best thing was probably the shower!
Excellent hostel! great tours with guides that know a lot about the country. Never had such a good breakfast in a hostel so far. Would definitely highly recommend this hostel!!

Such a good atmosphere and really helpful staff. Cheap and cheerful accommodation in the dorm rooms and bar/dining facilities were great. Roof terrace with fairy lights completed the package!

A nice little hostel in the newer part of Jerusalem. The staff was excellent (very friendly and they let us leave a day early with a refund because we had to catch a bus). The wifi internet is good and there are many plugs in the room. They also offer some great tours and have a decent breakfast.
great hostel in the heart of the city center not far from the old Jerusalen 15 min. walk.... really close to the market and the bus station
Magical, fabulous energy, extremely well thought out environment for all travellers of every age, knowledgeable staff and volunteers, a home away from home and so much more is awaiting for those fortunate enough to stay at the Abraham. My memories, friendships, and respect for Abraham and all that it provides have left a lasting impression within me. Shabbat dinner, excellent tours, live music.. I am so grateful to the minds who have created this hostel. I look forward to staying again asap.
i asked the guy booking day trips/tours how much it would cost to book a private taxi to get to the allenby bridge to cross over to amman, jordan. he said it would cost around $100USD. i went and asked the drivers themselves and it was less than $50USD. Also, their tours were always from the israeli perspective (biased) despite claiming to give a view of the west bank. no mention of the illegality of the racist jewish settlements. anyway, i stayed at citadel the following night which was great
Had a great time. It was nice to sit on the roof top, meet people. The rooms were clean and the hostel is close to the lighttrain, even though you can walk to old city. Sometimes it was noisy until 12.
This hostel is gargantuan - massive sleep factory that still manages to exude its own charm. Conveniently located near to Jaffa Street, it makes for a perfect base from which to explore the old city or the nightlife in the Jaffa Street area.
It's 25 minutes walking from Old City. There is a pub in the first floor, so every time there are people coming into the hostel, without security. There were a lot of families - with children. The rooms were ok, but our air conditioning didn't work. The breakfast was fine, but could be more things.
Awesome place with awesome people and really great social activities. Location is great, staff is cool, place is really clean. Can't ask for anything more here.
Wifi was unreliable and the paid computers are extremely slow. The Skype service did not work on any of the computers and I wasted about 40 minutes of paid time just trying to get a functional connection. Other than that, I was quite happy with everything. Accommodations were basic, but very clean.
Absolutely loved my time at the Abraham Hostel! The location is great, it's right on the Light Rail and within walking distance of the Old City. The place is new and one of the cleanest hostels I've ever been to. The staff is so helpful in getting you where you want to go. And the in-house events, like Hebrew lessons and rooftop BBQs, added a lot of fun to my trip. Lee, the bartender, was also a really cool person to hang out with.
everything was great! the atmosphere was great, nice staff and tours! thank u for everything Abraham!!
