A little expensive for a hostel, but the atmosphere and facilities are worth it. Amazing kitchen with communal Shabbat dinner. Great staff. And best of all, really great trips to anywhere you'd like to go, from a walk around Jerusalem to a trip all the way to Petra. They will take good care of you. The only thing is the location: there isn't much to buy (market or restaurant) in the area. But Old City is two streetcar stops away.
One of the best hostels I have ever stayed in. Perfect for individuals, couples and groups!
Best hostel I've ever been to. So many activities everyday. They have their own concierge to book things. Clean rooms. Amazing location near davidka square light rail stop. Just kind of unusual how many older people stayed here. I guess it hard to resist such a great place no matter the age!
Loved Abraham Hostel. Terrific staff who are always ready to help you. Fantastic Shabbat dinner. All the tours are easily organised from Abraham hostel staff and well priced. You cannot go wrong if you stay here. Best hostel I have ever stayed at!!!!
One of the best hostels I have ever stayed in.
I really really liked this hostel. If you've ever stayed at Wombats Hostel in Berlin, it's comparable to them. Excellent all around! Very helpful staff, great tours to check out, and the bar/game/chill out area upstairs is awesome! I really appreciated the many available facilities and the breakfast they provided which is included in the cost of your stay. If I ever returned to Jerusalem, I would stay with Abraham hostel again, without a doubt.
I cannot recommend this hostel more highly. As a vets seasoned traveller, this has to be the best I have ever stayed in, an excellent communal area, equipped with bar and plenty of people to meet. Great staff, a travel desk and organised pub crawls. Big and airy rooms, with air conditioning, and plenty of space. It was definitely a great place to meet people and made my experience in jersusalem so memorable. Plenty of toilets, showers, lockers and I house laundry and kitchen facilities!
Very big and impersonal but well located, good breakfast, lots of activities.
This is a great Hostel, they have a wide range of tours you can book, are only a short walk from the Old City (and the nightlife areas), they have a great common room with a bar and they run a pub crawl once per week. I'd recommend staying here for just about anyone. (there really aren't a lot of other good alternatives in Jerusalem either).
In general, the place is good for the money. However, the bar hopping tour was disappointing. In fact I was a bit pissed. They said the fees for the tour included 4 free drinks. However, the tour guide (George) gave us only 1 drink at the first bar. Then in the 2nd bar he didn't give everyone drink. He even complained that he expected we bought our own drinks (WTF). So bottom line is go the and stay sine it's convenient and good value but don't get the bar hopping tour.
Wonderful place! You'll meet many backpackers here. They offer great activities;I attended a free lecture on kabbalah. Abraham also offers the possibility to volunteer with children from refugees, which I think is an amazing thing to do for a hostel!
