I have stayed at a LOT of hostels but the mattresses there were seriously uncomfortable - it wasn't just mine the other 3 people I was in the room with had the same gripe.

Great central location, friendly staff, and a much better place than party-central Base or Nomads. Free wi-fi was an added bonus. Also, awesome bedding for a hostel - crisp linens and soft warm comforters.

Loved it here- after having to stay in Party bunkers like Base- this was like Luxury. Bright rooms, comfy beds, clean facilities, free wifi.

This is a brilliant hostel, only downside is that the location attracts party people which makes it a bit noisy at night. Also the 6 bed dorms are a bit small. This is however minor problems

Absoloot value hostel is a really nice, small and clean hostel. I was very happy with it's location right inside Queenstown town centre, and its competitive pricing. The best thing about the hostel however is its staff. They're genuinely lovely, very helpful and always smiling. Expect them to give you a warm welcome!

My wife and I had a room with a double bed overlooking the lake and beach. It had large louvered windows on two walls. The room was bright, the toilet, sink and shower were great. Even though our room was next to the TV and meeting room it was very quiet. This was our favorite hostel stay in both north and south islands of New Zealand. thanks!

My only complaint about this hostel is that the kitchen is very small. Otherwise it is very clean, new, rooms are fantastic! Beds are extremely comfortable and all linens new. Loved it!!

This was the best value we got for our buck during our stay in New Zealand. My boyfriend and I paid for a private double for $60/night and we had a great view of the lake, our own private shower/bathroom, tv, closet, mini fridge, microwave, and coffee/tea condiments. The location cannot be beat, being in the center and parking being no more than a couple blocks away - this was well worth paying what we did for what we got. Thanks Absoloot Value, it really was! -Janice + Dan

I stayed in the en-suite - was quite small compared to other ones I have stayed in. Bedsheets and carpet was clean. Only thing I did not like about this was the bathroom which smelt of urine :S Apart from that - staff were very helpful as was the location

For my last night in QT, I treated myself to the Queen room. By far my best stay in NZ! Gorgeous view of the lake, location is perfect, staff were very cool, and the hostel has all that you need. It even had small/cute hostel feel and would definitely stay there if I come back to QT. My only downer is the hostel didn't have any fun themed nights out planned and so it made it hard to meet people. Having a secluded common room on the 2nd floor didn't help either. Awesome place nonetheless! :-)
