No air condition in the room, but overall a good hostel. Wifi is limited. Short ways to the bus stop, Woolworths and beach.

Amazing hostel!! Staff were excellent and really inviting and helpful. Not a bad word to say about a single one! The rooms are immaculate! Literally spotless! This has to be the cleanest hostel we have stayed in, if you can even call it a hostel! It's more like a hotel! Not a bad word to say about this place. So relaxed and chilled out. Just what we needed for a few days break. If you're staying at mission beach and haven't booked this place, you need to give your head a shake! :) x

We got off the Greyhound bus and the shuttle was there waiting for us without any booking and despite it being a 500m walk - it was much appreciated with heavy backpacks!! As soon as we arrived the staff were very friendly and welcoming and the place has a really chilled out atmosphere that you miss out on when you stay with the big chains I hostels. The room was so spacey and cool at night. Also it's very close to Woolworth's. Overall a very pleasant stay and would definitely stay again!

The staff is most of people travelling around Australia so sometimes you don't know if the person is another backpacker or someone from the staff. This can be really confusing when you need something from the staff. The rooms have 2 doors, a glass door that goes to the veranda and another one that is the real door and they don't lock automatically, because of this I found my room many times open. No lockers.

Absolute backpackers is by far one of the nicest hostels I have stayed at in my year of travelling. The staff are so friendly and go out of their way to help you and make you feel at home. The bathrooms are immaculate as are the dorms (really comfy beds too) The TV room is ideal and has a massive sofa and bean bags to chill on whilst watching one of the many DVDs u can borrow for free from reception. I wish every hostel was like this! Thanks for an amazing stay :)

We loved our stay here! The staff make you feel welcome from the moment you get there and they exceed expectations when it comes to helping you out. Mel and Jake organised lots of activities for Australia day and also made the effort to speak to everyone! I also had my birthday there and my girlfriend needed help trying to keep a couple of things secret which they did brilliantly and they looked after me the whole day! Erin also deserves a special mention for all her hard work!!

Great hostel - Mel & Jake are excellent hosts; they offer plenty of cheap/free activities in the local area and are extremely friendly. Brilliant atmosphere & vibe in the hostel, all about fun times. Really enjoyed my stay!

Absolute backpackers is a great hostel with friendly staff, clean rooms, good air con and great wifi - my only comment is that the hostel should keep up at being a great hostel rather than trying to be a travel agents aswell, we booked over a grands with of tours each through Jake and Mel to only have trouble along the way with constant incorrect bookings maybe it's teething problems but I wouldn't book through them again other than that lovely stay :)

Beautiful resort style hostel. Great staff Mel and J are great managers and offered help all the time, the free shuttle to the main Mission beach area was handy. The cleanest hostel we have been to! There is no bar, but there is a bottle shop and a woolworths opposite. We also wandered out and went to the bar across the road at the resort hotel and into town to Millers (who have a free bus after 6pm if you call them for a lift!) or 10 min walk. Don't miss this hostel!! See you again!

Staff were amazing, couldn't be more helpful! The hostel is super chilled out, in the evening its ideal to sit and chat with the other guests and staff, we met some lovely people! The place was constantly being cleaned, I don't think i have stayed somewhere with such a clean kitchen. Bedrooms were ideal, we were upgraded to a room with air con which was needed in the humidity. Always a friendly face going about, would 100% recommend!

Close to Woolworth and the beach. The staff was nice and helpful. The area outside was good and clean. The bedsheets weren`t that clean and the room could be cleaned a little bit better as well. All in all we enjoyed our stay and we would come back :)

The best hostel we ever stayed in !

Couldn't have asked for a better location, near to the greyhound, supermarket and beach. Comfy clean beds and a nice pool area. Bathrooms were clean. Big downside was no air con in the rooms, the fan was not enough. Nothing overly special about this hostel but fine to stay in for a couple of nights.

Thank you for your feedback. Unfortunately you made a booking for a fan only room. We do have air conditioned rooms and you could have upgraded upon check-in and this is available to all guests subject to availability. We do hope that you stay with us again and we will ensure it is an air-conditioned room for yourself.

Nice hostel to stay, clean showers and a huge kitchen with everything you need. Not the most cosy hostel and the staff wasn't really nice, but for 1 or 2 nights I would recommend this hostel. Supermarket really close and the hostel organises 2 or 3 small trips each day.

Hi Evelien, thank you for your feedback, it was very helpful as it was the day management had a break and was not at the hostel, we have recently changed staff and hope they are more friendly. We thank you for staying with us and hope you come again.
