Except for the fire alarm going off at frequent intervals on some evenings the stay was very pleasant. The hostel is in an excellent position re the metro and most places in central Paris are easily accessible. The staff were very amenable to requests and easy to talk to despite my pigeon french! Breakfast provided though basic was excellent too.

The location was perfect! just two blocks from The Republique metro station. How ever is was one of the noisiest places I've ever been, noise from the streets, from the toilets of other dorms, etc.Dorms are really narrow, with very little space for your luggage ( no lockers inside). Everything was always clean, not only the room but also the bathroom. Good internet service (in the rooms and almost everywhere. Would stay there in the future? probably, location, specially in Paris is important.
Bathroom- black mould growing on the ceiling, needs a exhaust fan and a curtain near the shower as the water just goes everywhere, why bother with a shower mat. Started with 3 towels in the bathroom, ended up with 1 that didn't even look like one of the hostels. Need more then one bin in a room, clearly the floors weren't swept in the room daily, dust under the bed, and when you opened the windows it blow out from under the bed. Slowest elevator Kitchen facilities require more facilities
The staff at Absolute Paris went above and beyond in helping us during our stay in Paris, esp. since we do not speak the language. Overall, it was a great place to stay!
Staff was very friendly and helpful. Location was a bit far from a lot of the things we went to see. Facility was par. We couldn't check in early in the morning as expected but wanted to leave our luggage, which we could in a hallway that was accessible to anyone and everyone. We just had to hope that no one would get into our stuff or that our bags would still be there. Just made us a little uneasy that there wasn't better security.
The room was tiny. My husband and I have stayed in hostels all along our trip but this room was completely claustrophobic for 4 individuals. No lockers for luggage, and barely a metre between beds. No room to function. Stuffy. On a busy intersection, very Noisy. We cancelled our booking and moved to a hotel instead. Staff were very friendly and accommodating refunding our money.
The good - wifi, location (walked to mainsites but metro is also very close) location (not dodgy), safes in lobby, kitchen, breakfast, ensuite rooms Not so good - lift slow take stairs on 4th floor, no ladder for top bunk, room small, no lockers or bed lamps Overall its paris so cant compare it to other cities standards. Stayed 3 nights, comfortable and simple for a parisian price. Felt safe though.
Location was pretty good. I'd say attractions are within walking distance but metro is super close as well. Staff was very friendly. There was a problem with their booking system so my friend and I got upgraded to a private room instead of our original 6 bed. The shower was kind of awful though. No proper shower head or curtain. Water got everywhere. Grocery store right across street was handy.
Very nice location, right by the canal. but the bed sheets were dirty, and so was the towel. The pillow case didn't smell so nice. also I paid two very different prices for the same room on two different floors.
Nice breakfast and the rooms we're renovated recently. Although the shower was small. There were no good cupboard for clothes. Bed was quite uncomfortable because the pillows were inside the sheet and bed was hard. But the location is great and the staff was always helpful.
The staff was very welcoming and helpful. The room was clean and nicer than I expected. The area is also good, easy to get everywhere as you are close to the metro. The Republique area is also very lively with many restaurants and bars and I felt safe walking around there alone. I wish there was air conditioning in the room as it was a bit warm, but all was good when I opened the windows.

The staff was very helpful and kind to us. The bathrooms were very clean and new. However, any guest with a room with view to the street needs to bring ear plugs. I appreciated that I could use the internet for free. Thanks again to all the staff especially to Sam.
I get that Paris is more expensive all around, but there are definitely a few little things this Hostel could do to up its value. Breakfast was good and the rooms were clean. A little cramped, but a big bathroom. No real common area. Kitchen was very limited (had to open my can with a wine opener). But the location is a student district and there are lots of really good restaurants around that feed you amazingly well for the price. Security is a safe by the lobby, nothing in the room.
The location is good.. And the staff is nice. It could be cleaner, but it is ok for a hostel

I thought this place was ok. I've stayed in better places, but I've stayed in a lot worse. Probably only real negative was that the rooms got very hot, which meant needing to open the windows in to stay cool but the hotel is situated next to an intersection of some major roads, and while convenient in terms of location, the loud continuous sounds of cars and bikes coming past also made sleeping a little hard. otherwise no probs.
The hostel is in a good location. There are a lot of sites within walking distance and it is close to the metro as well. The staff is friendly and assisted us with whatever we needed help with. There are safes where you can store your valuables and there is a place for you to leave your luggage if your room is not ready when you arrive. Only complaint is that there is no air conditioning and the room was VERY hot. Overall decent value for the price.
good hostel for the price, met some great people. Good location near the republique metro station.
I liked this hotel/hostel much more than my previous one in Paris. No secure place for your bag if you need to leave it unaccompanied. Location is excellent - just off the Republic station with easy connections to everywhere! Staff very friendly and informative. Not much of a lounge space - front lobby (tiny, but with a washroom - a big +) and the kitchen area. Free breakfast - basic, but OK! Washroom was clean, but the floors in the room weren't and one of my towels didn't seem the freshest.
I thought this hostel was great. The man on the front desk was always helpful, happy and greeted everyone coming and going. On arrival we were also lucky enough to be upgraded to a private twin room instead of a 4 person room. The room was amazing, on the 4th floor, great double aspect windows and a lovely ensuite bathroom. Lift was slow and breakfast room small, but everything else amazing. I would highly recommend this hostel. Very close to metro too, however we walked most places.
