Best hostel I've ever stayed in. Friendly, welcoming, helpful and knowledgeable staff. Clean, comfortable rooms and bathrooms. A great front/common room, with computers, tv, free wifi, books, city info, etc. Well set-up kitchen and a decent breakfast included (even with fruit salad! hooray!). Comfortable beds (no bunks!) set up in a way that makes you feel like you have some privacy, even in an 8-bed dorm. And an unbeatable location! ONLY drawback was that the sleeping room was a bit stuffy.

Everything was very good, it just have one terrible thing, there's a HUGE problem with the showers, I just went, on winter, and it's awful to go from one bathroom to another all wet, in the cold, because in 2 minutes or less you are out of hot water, one of the guys from the staff was very kinder and trying to help me, but the other just told me: "There's nothing I can do", well, sure there is, at least show some concern and be politer to the customers.

The academy was the best hostel I have ever stayed in. Great staff, rooms, location and character. Wine and food each night at 6:30 was a hugely pleasant surprise and got travellers to meet each other. Excellent Hostel!

By far the best hostel I've stayed in. Great atmosphere, cool building, friendly and helpful staff. Aperitivo every night is a great way to meet fellow travelers, and they play great music in the lobby! A definite home away from home, very clean, very warm, amazing location, would absolutely stay there again.

Clean and confortable hostel with an amazing location 1 block away from the Duomo. They have free wifi and free computers, and laundry machines for 6 Euros. The also give you lockers and big rooms with nice and clean beds. Good free breakfast and nice free pizzas and wine at 6PM to get to know other people. The nices't staff. I wouldn't define it as a party hostel, but I would recommend it to someone travelling alone, wanting to enjoy Florence, meet other people and have a good rest!

It was a nice hostel. Right in the middle of the town.It had a vending machine of italian pasta! The only problem is that you can't stay inside the hostel from 11 am to 2 pm, because they need to clean. And its a litlle bit too expensive.

Very helpful, the friendliness of the staff set the mood of the stay. I love the City Spy maps. They were a lifesaver. I would have liked more social events with hostel visitors... perhaps a drink out at a popular bar. Something to connect better.

For sure the best hostel I've ever stayed in. The atmosphere is just amazing and the staff make us feel like home. My bedroom was very cozy and beautiful decorated. The shared bathrooms are always clean. I'd definitely stay here again if I ever go back to Florence.

The hostel was exellent. The location, was perfect and the good atmosphere was remarkable. The staff was friendly and helpfull and all the guests I found were very open to shareing rooms, meals and tours with other guests, people from a all around the world. I liked small details like the personal portable-lamp so as not to bother your roomates when they were sleeping, 3 liquid soap dispensers in the bathrooms, 3 free computers and wifi. I simply loved it!!

The hostel provided a wide range of facilities. I met some really cool people here. The hostel is big on cleanliness, and overall, one of the best hostels.

The hostel was very clean and the atmosphere for independent travelers was great; the breakfast in the morning was an excellent touch. My only complaint was that there were two male staff members who were very rude, primarily the guy with short hair who smoked and worked the night shift, but otherwise the rest of the staff was kind and helpful. All in all a great place to stay in Florence, I would definitely recommend it especially for those traveling alone.

From the moment we arrived the staff was friendly and helpful and they remained that way throughout our stay. We had all the quiet and privacy we wanted and the set up was comfortable for socializing also. The staff always available for questions or whatever we needed. The hostel was clean and secure and the location was central to everything. Lots of hot water for showers too! Excellent experience all the way around!

At half a stone's throw from the Duomo, the location is superb and the hostel has all the facilities you want, is totally clean and has a helpful staff. But I didn't enjoyed the atmosphere; maybe because of the explicit warning about not being a party place, it seems that everyone is a bit afraid of raising the voice or speaking to the others. At night, people would gather at the common area, but only to use the wifi and read their respective Ipads or laptops. Never a conversation started.

The location is perfect. Very close to many attractions, restaurants and the train station. The staff were friendly and helpful. There are good size lockers in the rooms to keep bags safe. It was a very pleasant stay.
