it wasn't clear to me that it was at home

Hostel located in Korenica, 15 km away from the entrance to the Plitvice Lakes. The hostel is very nice, kitchen with facilities, clean rooms and clean bathrooms. Location might be a slight inconvenience if you don't have a car though, beware.

This was a thoroughly enjoyable place not too far from the gates of Plitvice Lakes. The owners were very friendly and I appreciated very much, that they only charged me for two nights in a single room, although they could have charged more. Korenica was a good location, because there are supermarkets and restaurants there.

It was very cute although it was an elderly couples house whereby we couldn't use the kitchen facilities and felt very awkward around the house, the front door was always left open therefore it didn't feel very safe although all rooms had locks. The location was 20 minutes by bus from the hostel although the bus station was close it was still a distance to the sights.

A nice and clean place to stay over night, when visiting the Plitvice lakes. Very good value for money!

This place is very comfortable and everything is present to have a good atmosphere. The low amount of possible renters make in a nice calm place to stay after a long day at plitvice lakes. The only downside was getting there. I got there from zagreb and after 6 30 there is no local bus no more from the Plitvice area to Korenica, where this place is located. But even then we were picked up from the busstation by the owner :)

The host is so nice and when I forget some stuff in their place. When I come back home. They send these stuff to me. The room is clean and nice on the 3th floor in house, on the roof there is a window can watch stars and the small balcony is great for chatting outside.

Owners were very sweet - don't speak much English but their son does. Clean, comfortable and after travelling for so long it was nice to be in a house with a reasonably priced single room. Fridge and kettle and some cups, mugs and spoons but not much other equipment. Close to supermarkets. Many signs around so look for the new looking black and white ones and they say Accomodation Plitvice either top or bottom too which was helpful. Definitely recommend!

Very nice owner. This is the perfect place to stay tone night if you want to visit Plitvice Lakes National Park the next day early in the morning. Wifi, cleaned rooms and bathroom are some of the good things I can say about my stay there. Perfect place also if you are looking for some peacefull and quite town to disconect.

Korenica is an ideal place to visit plitvice lakes, but there is nothing else to do. We stayed at Accomodation Plitvice, which is owned by an elderly couple, they were very friendly (although had a hard time speaking english) and the house was clean and spacious. Perfect to sleep a (couple of) night(s).

We only stayed one night and it was perfect for a quick stopover. The house is really lovely and it's about 15 km from the national park, 60 kuna in a taxi. Owner doesn't speak very good English so make sure you know about public transport etc. before you arrive.

We really enjoyed our stay. Something which could make it even more enjoyable would have been some cutlery and plates or bowls in the dining room on the first floor. Other than that, we had a very pleasant stay and really liked the balcony with a beautiful view!

This place is very nice and clean ! although there is no kitchen available. it wasn't really a problem for us but the only things available were a refrigerator and a tea kettle. there is no cutlery/dishes, no sink apart from the one in the bathroom, no microwave. And concerning the bus stops, you don't really have a choice they always stop at the restaurant but it's not too far from there.

Hallo, thank you for your comment. Fully equiped kitchen for all guests is at ground floor. Best regards. ACCOMMODATION PLITVICE

This is a normal house tipical from this place, where a couple of arround 60's years offer the first floor of his house to guess people! The house was really good! and we had all the first floor for us, with bathroom, fridge, terrace, balcony, table and chairs! The room was really cute and quite big, also everything was really clean, because the owner also live in this house! so we felt like in our own house! :) Also we had easy parking infront of the house!

Clean, quiet and perfect place to stay if you travel with a car (closed to D1, free parking). Kitchen facilities were rather poor, but after agreement with the owner you can use owner's private kitchen.

Staying at a family house feels so much nicer then in a regular hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpfull. I really liked the wood in the house, giving it warmth. also nice kitchen you can use, wi fi,...all well I will come back one day for sure...

A bit off the beaten path but once we found it the fact that it was on a back street filled with playing kids was pretty cool.

The connection from the hostel to the Plitvice Parks was not really good, there were only few buses; The woman of the hostel was terrible, she couldn't speak or understand English and seemed to be cursing in Croatian to her husband. She gave us the wrong bus hours because of which we had to wait hours to leave to Split. At night she seemed like a ghost roaming the stairs. She got angry when we had no cash. Even when we were making sandwiches she looked like we were burning the place down.

Pros: good value for money, good kitchen facilities (since it's a real house), free wifi, really clean, comfy. Cons: the woman was friendly but she spoke really really bad English. It's hard to get information like supermarkets, restaurants or something. But the worst thing was that I was given a wrong timetable for the buses - im glad I double checked it by the internet and I managed to spend more time in the park. Connection to the parks is not that good, not so many buses/schedule options.
