THEY CAN NOT STORE LUGGAGE. And while there there in no room in the room. Small securityboxes. The rooms have no windows and thick plastic covers om madress. Nice common areas with one computer and a pooltable. Good because the area outside is not nice.

The only good thing about it is the location (50m to metro). It is way overpriced for what you get. we had a private bedroom with bath and it was tiny! It's so cheap that we had an AIR BED, which is unacceptable for what we paid for NYE. It's also so NOISY, that you can hear the cars in the street even though there was no windows in the rooms. breakfast is very average. It's also not the typical crowd you see in a hostel with lots of kids and families. overall, not the best hostel we've seen!

Booked a private room. The room looked like a prison cell. Very small and no window to the outside, only one to the hallway and had bars in front. Sheets were dirty, plastic on the mattress and could barely move around. No atmosphere. All the walls are white and everything is very narrow. Villa Carrioca just down the road is a much better option with very helpful staff, very clean and great atmosphere. I switched my private room at Ace for a dorm at Villa Carrioca. Best move I could make

I liked so much my four days spent in Ace Backpackers hostel. The room was tiny, but comfortable and very clean. The staff tried to solve all problems that appeared. The hostel has a very good location, in the middle of all major turistic points in Rio. We didn't have many options for fun in the hostel, but who wants fun in a hostel when we are in Rio de Janeiro, with all that wonderful nature places?

Always a slight smell of urin in the air. Stuff spoke english, some of them really unfriendly and not caring. Our room window was towards the floor which always was dark. Whenever you wake up, you have no idea what time of the day it is. It was noisy as well - bring your earplugs! Simply go elsewhere...

Very nice place for a hostel and it is clean. Everyone has his own locker. There is gratis pool table, too. The Breakfast could be better.

Place was okay but the prices were stupidly high because of the Rock in Rio. Breakfast was good though. There are definitely better hostels out there.

Cons- lacklustre staff who don't want to help with simple questions "where do i get the bus from?"... "outside"... no really?! VERY noisy at night, not sure why, there doesn't seem to be much going on in the hostel.air con only turned on if you ask for it in advance, only 1 hot shower, rooms very small. Pros-cheap rooms. get what you pay for. no bedbugs.lockers. free breakfast good.

They didn´t have any pool table sticks for our whole stay. The staff were not knowledgable, one girl told us that we could use their washing machine, which didn't work. We had to wash our clothes in the shower instead and when we did so another guy from the staff came and told us to hurry up because the other guests were complaining. There is no glass in the small windows between the rooms and the corridor which makes it very noice. They didn´t clean our room during our whole stay.

Do not stay here if you are travelling on your own and do not speak portugese. The staff speak very little english and do not go out of their way to help you. The floor in my room was always dirty and the shower luke warm at best (I had a private room). There is a small lounge area and a room with a pool table that the staff seem to hang out in mostly playing pool and their own music. There was no organised events within the hostel and the information on things to do seemed sparse.

The room for one person only that I rent, was OK. But beetween 1 to 2 o'clock AM, it was noisy (others talk loudly) and I had some difficulties to sleep. Iwent to bed at 11PM

The rooms were tiny and for the price this was really not very good. Our room was right next to the reception desk and the staff chatted really loudly until late at night, which was annoying when we had to catch an early flight and needed sleep. Generally the hostel was a bit dark and dingy.

la chambre choisie n'avait pas de fenêtre et ressemblait à une "prison". fenêtre est indispensable. puis la propreté n'était pas des mieux et le petit-déjeuner pourrait inclure des fruits. espace trop sombre et pas aéré et lumineux.

The location is excellent? you can easily get to all the sights? a lot of busses here and metro station just around the corner. The staff is very helpful and frendly, on duty 24 hours) Rooms are neet and clean.
