I found the hostel a very nice place to be and the staff were very helpful and friendly. It was more than a hostel but like a family. Great place to relax, nice and quiet and also had areas like the bar to have fun. Loved this hostel and I really recommend it!

Communication poor - told our room would be ready in 30 mins but 1.5hours later, not only was it not ready but no one had come to give us an update or apologise even though they knew we were waiting in the cafe area. If someone had just come when it should have been ready to tell us it would be longer, that would have been better. The facilities were run down, the internet was patchy and the pool table had 4-5 balls missing (not a big deal but easy to fix). Bed linen not clean. Staff too busy.

Reasons not to stay at ACE Hostel. 1. You won't get the room you booked 2. No daylight in the rooms 3. Not even space to unpack your toothbrush 4. Bathroom VERY tiny 5. The bed crashed 6. No mirror in the bathroom76. The kitchen cupboard smelled like hell 7. A creepy, stinky old man smashed the only working computer in the common breakfast room for no reason 8. The same man was sleeping in our room the next day and couldn't be removed because he obviously knows one of the owners 9. And so on...

The smallest 6 bed dorm I have ever seen with a micro window to a inner patio. The hostel is generally not clean. The showers are dirty and at the night I was there they did not work at all for a long time (the pump was off). The horrible quality of the room (cramping 6 beds in 9 m2 at the most) is enough to give this hostel the lowest possible classification.

Security, breakfast, workers, and location were all phenomenal!!! Unfortunately, they packed WAY TOO MANY people into a small space. Great business for you but not so for the customers.

It would be good to have somebody who speaks english on the night shift. Also, the wifi doesn't always work properly.

We had a great stay at this hostel and would thoroughly recommend it. The best thing about it are the staff - so helpful and friendly. Big shout out to carol! Breakfast was decent, top location. Only downside was the size of the rooms, the 4 bed dorm allows little space. Overall, this hostel is great!

THEY CAN NOT STORE LUGGAGE. And while there there in no room in the room. Small securityboxes. The rooms have no windows and thick plastic covers om madress. Nice common areas with one computer and a pooltable. Good because the area outside is not nice.

The only good thing about it is the location (50m to metro). It is way overpriced for what you get. we had a private bedroom with bath and it was tiny! It's so cheap that we had an AIR BED, which is unacceptable for what we paid for NYE. It's also so NOISY, that you can hear the cars in the street even though there was no windows in the rooms. breakfast is very average. It's also not the typical crowd you see in a hostel with lots of kids and families. overall, not the best hostel we've seen!

Booked a private room. The room looked like a prison cell. Very small and no window to the outside, only one to the hallway and had bars in front. Sheets were dirty, plastic on the mattress and could barely move around. No atmosphere. All the walls are white and everything is very narrow. Villa Carrioca just down the road is a much better option with very helpful staff, very clean and great atmosphere. I switched my private room at Ace for a dorm at Villa Carrioca. Best move I could make
