I was looking for a capsule hotel experience but didn't quite find one. I would recommend staying at a capsule hotel if that's what you're looking for. The staff are super friendly and helpful though, they really take care of you. It was a little pricier then some of the other hostels and didn't really offer more for the price. It was pretty clean and for Tokyo still a cheap pad for the night. Not a lot going around the hostel but very close to the metro so still convenient.

If the 100yen/10min shower can be 50yen/5min shower would be great.

The beds at the 10th floor are as hard as it gets, like sleeping on the floor, so be carefull to take the capsules. Hostel team very nice and english speaking.

Cons: No lockers in the dorms (my globes, hat and scarf were stolen the first night). You have to pay to take shower. In the dorms there is a skylight that cannot be blocked, so the room is totally bright since 5am. Pros: Perfect English, very helpful staff, very close to subway.

Good location, friendly staff, "capsule" experience was good. However, I found the curfew thing (from 2AM-4:30AM) a bit annoying. Of course I understand the security reason but if you don't want to party all night long in Shinjuku...Additionally, I would add a plug in the capsule to charge the electronic devise. I wasn't comfortable to leave my iPhone charging where everybody could just grab it and leave. The 100-Yen shower is not a problem in my opinion (time limit when 4 showers for 80people)!

the hostel was decent, although the common room needed to be cleaned and there were no lockers in the dorm. the guy at the front desk was helpful and gave me good directions and suggestions. when i tried to use the wifi before heading to the airport it was off and the woman at reception told me that it wasn't on that early in the morning (it was like 7 or 8 am, not really that early). it's very convenient to the subway and getting to shinjuku.

Good hostel. 2min from train station. Quiet area but lots of food/shops around. Good facilities. 10th floor (beds) very basic. The modular beds looked alot better and more private to stay in.

This hostel is really horrible. It's just a big building with little character. No kitchen to speak of. The common room is on the 9th floor and is filthy, like the rest of the place, accept the reception. Really hard to socialise, the top floor is a 10 bed dorm with no lockers or even a key to the door, it's just open all the time. The lift is really old and you can't use the stairs between any of the floors so you're forced to wait for the lift all the time. Paying for showers is a joke!

Good location on the west side of Tokyo, while most other hostels are over near Asakusa. Its a big hostel, and as a result it loses some of the charm the smaller places have, but the staff are very friendly and courteous. I stayed in the capsule/cabin style beds for the first 5 nights, and these were comfortable and quiet. Toilet facilities on this level were also good. the 100yen/10min shower system works, you can almost shower whenever you want because people use it efficiently.

The staff is nice but doesn't speak french... There was a lot of noice in the dormitory, people didn't respect the others. Bed are not very comfortable. We must pay 100yens for take a shower! We can't cook, the kitchen is very small and there is no stove. Japanese room is not separated from the dormitory.

very good value for money. a true backpackers hostel where the character of the residents not the cleanliness or the staff make the accommodation.

The location is the best thing about this hostel. It's 2 stops on the subway from Shinjuku, and only a 2 minute walk from the hostel to the subway station. Otherwise it's clean, quiet, has all the facilities, and the common area is a nice place to chill out and meet other travellers.

This hotel is located within walking distance of Shinjuku, which puts you right in the centre of the action. You can even continue walking to Harajuku and Shibuya. Access to both subways and JR is great, so transportation should be a breeze. The dorm is located at the top floor of this hotel (10th I think), it looks to be a former penthouse apartment deprived of all its glory and stacked with beds. A bit strange and very basic (+ cold in winter). Coin operated showers in the basement.

Need to paid separately for bathing, cloth washing & drying. Located quite far (about 30 minutes walk) from Shinjuku main station.

I thought this hostel was not so well situated and definitely pricey for what it has to offer. The capsule was tiny, the toilets not so clean, you have to pay for showers, common room is very run down. One should check all better opportunities before considering this place.
