Pros: Cheap :) If you're travelling on a budget it's great. Nice capsule offering privacy. Free towel and clean linen. Cons: Free wi-fi didn't work, didn't have this trouble anywhere else i stayed. Showers were coin and timer operated which was weird. Be aware: Lockers provided are tall and skinny and not suitable for luggage. Overall it was a cheap, warm bed and that's all i really needed.
The capsule beds are good but they mess with your sleep pattern! Not much security as anyone could walk in although you do get lockers.
Very disappointing to reach your hostel and then hear about a 2-430am curfew. 100yen for a 10min shower is also a bit annoying. There was like 6power plugs for 28beds, so was a challenge to get phone charged. Expensive for big but underequiped capsules.
For the price and location it is fine for a few days. Not the hilton. The larger beds are quiet spacious and security is fine. Only problem for party animals is the curfew but apart for that its fine.
Worth the price ! In Tokyo and near Shinjuku...I don't care about paying extra Yen100 for a shower...I was early and can check in early because someone else cancel their bed. Stayed at 10th floor...nice view and can smoke outside the corridor. Sayonara Japan ! Terima Kasih from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
I hope no-one else wakes up hung over in this hotel.
I really liked the style of the capsule beds and they were really comfortable. The toilets and shower rooms were clean. The common room on the 9th floor could get an update. It is good that there is a common room for the people to get together.

A great capsule hotel that delivers your money's worth! Only a few small issues like A/C not working on the first night and a bit unclean at times, but definitely worth it if you're travelling on a budget. The location is also quite good, 15-minute walk away from Shinjuku and right next to Akebonobashi subway station.
The curfew was the main thing about this hostel. The man is very nice upfront. I didn't like the bathroom, typical of a mid level hostel, but kind of icky at least on my floor. I got locked out in the rain, luckily by sheer luck was someone walking by to let me in. The wifi was very good. Another complaint was you're stuck in a room with a lot of people and the beds are these cheap wooden things that creak loudly and easily. I got in late and made someone mad but it's not my fault it's the bed
There is no pool here as it is advertised. You are locked out from 2am until 4am. No scheduled activities as suggested.

Value for money - mostly clean but a bit of an older building. Free internet and tea and coffee, coin showers and coin laundry, free towels though! Also, 2am lock out was a bit annoying especially considering the proximity to Shinjuku and Shibuya, but really lovely staff.
I toured throughout Japan for one month and Ace Inn was most certainly my Home away from Home. This hostel is very relaxed, the common room on level 9 is open 24/7, free Wi-Fi on all levels, friendly staff & it's located just a stones throw from Akebonobashi station. When I return to Tokyo I will be staying at the Ace Inn.
Dirty, poorly kept building in general and unhelpful staff! Awful mixed dorms and shared facilities are stinky, dirty and definitely not worth my 100Yen for a "generous" 10 minute shower. Would advise people to stay away! Spend extra 5 bucks at Nui or somewhere actually awesome. This place is horrendous and badly managed. 2 female showers for the entire 10 floor building - what a joke! Every person we ran into at the hostel was either traumatised or very apathetic/dirth themselves. Not pleasant!
The staff was very unprofessional, especially "Jason." Jason was mistaken and canceled our entire booking for Saturday night. When confronted about it made no form of apology but blamed me. He even went as far as lying about me talking to a female manager, when I had spoken only to a male. In my phone call to him I had asked whether English or Japanese was better. We spoken in English, but clearly he is not fluent enough for the task. An apology was the least he could have given for canceling.
Good place for all ages to stay. Quiet and friendly. Staff is very good and helpful. Wifi is good and location is excellent.
The hostel itself is good, but some of the crowd that it attracts is less than desirable. There were some really rowdy people on my floor who seemed completely ignorant of respectable hostel culture (yelling at 4:30 in the morning, vomiting and not cleaning up). Stay at this hostel for it's location. It's central, and you are easily able to access the popular neighborhoods in Tokyo. The capsule beds are comfortable, and basic necessities are provided.
Good location, but the hostel was really dirty. The 9th floor common area had a small kitchen which was also messy and dirty. We also booked there to get the capsule experience and were put in two beds in the middle of the 10th floor, which I believe was the only floor without capsules. That said, the price was right as was the location. And we only stayed for two nights, so it worked.
