By Car:
From Ullapool; take the A835 northwards, left (Ledmore Junction) on the A837 and then just before Lochinver turn right to the B869 for 2 miles and then left for 1 mile following the YH signs. Drive all the way around to the Beach Car Park.

From Lochinver; YH is four miles NW of Lochinver... Up the hill and turn left onto the B869 for 2 miles and then left for 1 mile following the YH signs. Drive all the way around to the Beach Car Park.


On Foot:
From Lochinver - take the Baddidarrach footpath to Achmelvich Beach. This route has spectacular views and takes an hour to an hour-and-a-half, approximately 3.5 miles. Not suitable for a trolley bag or suitcase!
