Adelaide Hostel actually had me stay in their sister hotel, The Fitzgerald. These ratings are for the Fitzgerald. I suppose I didn't mind too much that I was put there, but I did make a reservation at a hostel for a reason: I wanted the hostel experience. Instead, The Fitzgerald, while serviceable, didn't offer nearly the kind of activity and atmosphere I was hoping for from Adelaide.

We were expecting to stay in the hostel but got directed to the hotel instead so not what we expected. Watch out for the hotel tax as that was a nasty surprise. The staff aren't so engaging let's say except for Marina who we met on the last days, it was nice to have someone helpful and more friendly. The hotel is clean and in a great location - I'd say if road noise is an issue for you watch out for that. Breakfast is good with plenty of bagel choice, porridge and fruit salad.

We loved it there. It was quiet, staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good. We weren't interested in partying or a lot of socializing as we were just wanting to see the sights and do touristy stuff as we had limited time, jetlag from travelling from Australia and both had colds so weren't feeling well.

The padlock we brang was too big for the locker ; it would have been great to be given the ones we paid 5$ each! The towels were also paying... The fees we paid when booking were not taken off of the bill they ask us to pay... Very good breakfast. The special offer for the bike rental was also really convenient.

wonderful! very nice clean rooms, pretty white beds, clean bathrooms, nice staff (the owner most of all), VERY fancy and cosy lounge room, and nutella for breakfast - what more could you want? the one bad thing are the rates going up on weekends.

Well we booked through Adelaide yet ended up being told that we were staying in Dakota Hostel around the corner. Dakota had terrible wifi, awful bathrooms, squeaky beds and lastly unhelpful and rude staff. We would much rather have stayed in Adelaide who had better breakfast and lovely staff.

Thank you for making my housing so simple for my visit! I got to spend so much time exploring the city and had zero worries about my room.

Best hostel experience so far. The staff was very friendly & helpful. The hostel was much cleaner and overall more cheerful than most of my other hostel experiences. Will choose Adelaide when traveling through San Francisco in the future.

I think you are a great place to stay. Congratulatios for that. In the description you make of your selves in Hostel World you write you have a great free breakfast. I think that you offer good stuff considering it is free, but I think that "great" for Bread, jelly and Nutella is a bit too much :)

The location is very good, you can walk to union square in about 5 mins. Stuffs were really nice and helpful, the bed was comfortable~The most importtant thing is: they have the best kitchen! Excellent breakfast! And the lounge is also fantastic! I love it!

We only stayed 2 nights here but we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Although one bed was a bit dirty and had hairs over it, in general the hostel was clean. The breakfast was fantastic, there was fruit, toast, bagels and english muffins and a variety of spreads and the kitchen facilities were fantastic. It was in a very good location, close to shopping and sights. Would definitely stay here again!

This is a really good hostel. The location is great, the staff are helpful, the place is super clean, and it is great value for money. The free breakfast is better than I can recall ever having at any other hostel I've stayed at. I can't wait until the next time I'm in San Fran. And I'll be definitely staying at the Adelaide again!
