Not very clean, really cold rooms and the heater was extremely loud. But good location and for 17$/night it was alright.

The hostel was not clean and the people stole food from the kitchen wich is two main reasons I dident like this hostel. The location is really good and they have ok facilities.

Even the hostel is old, it has character. I would say its perfect for the little money you pay. Free wifi and 2$ washing machines are very rare nowadays! Its also located at the end of the partystreet in Adelaide city center, what do you want more?

First of all we got an 8 person room instead of a 6 persons. Furthermore, we had to change room every night since they didn't have enough space for us. The last night he wanted to put us in a room where there was a guy smoking weed. Then we checked out and found another place. Another part of our group checked out after one night because there was bed bugs in their room. Overall the place was very worn down and messy. Won't recommend.

Upon arrival I was met by a young guy who was pleasant and funny. To my surprise and good fortune I was given a free upgrade due to unforeseen circumstances. Although grateful for this I was very happy to get this and wondered what the condition of the other rooms would be in if this was one of the top rooms. Not complaining but very grateful. Would stay here again. Cheers

Dirt everywhere, the shower wasn\'t cleaned, the whole room was full with dust, dirty toilets. The bulding next door is a noisy nightclub. My room was wall to wall - so I could hear the bassdrum all night long. No sleep...

For the price it was fine. Friendly staff, clean sheets and my own bathroom.

Was a really nice place to stay with great location. Staff and guest where really friendly. Free wifi was a great bonus. Rooms where very hot but nowhere does it state A/C so this was expecting, given the time of year. Would recommend this hostel to others and I would like to go back and see what it is like after the renovations are complete. Great vault for money.

We had a Private Twin Room for two nights in early January 2012. I've stayed in many places but this room was just disgusting. The room had a terrible smell, the beds were dirty and the whole room was just not nice at all. The bathrooms need some modernising and regular cleaning as well. All in all not a good experience! If you plan on staying make sure you go and take a look before you book a bed in this hostel!

Free wi-fi in lobby was helpful. It's okay for a short stay, but overall you get what you pay for. Nice staff and they seemed to be doing renovations to make it better, which is encouraging but I probably wouldn't return anytime soon.
