Twentysomething dollars is still too much seeing what you get even though this is the cheapest place in the city. The receptionist wasn't being incredibly friendly and reception was also closed randomly a couple a times during office hours when I would have needed assistance. Kitchen is a mess. In my dorm there's no lock on the bathroom door so I got walked in on. The TV remote was missing. There were some older tenants that to be honest creeped me out a little bit.

Staying in Adelaide Motel is similar to what I imagine staying in a crack den is like. From the intimidating nutters who have full blown conversations (& sometimes arguments) with themselves in the living area to the kitchen's laughable lack of utensils (one fork for the entire hostel) & the downright racist cleaning lady (who kept insisting that a girl from Fiji "Speak some English!" even though she was much easier to understand & more pleasant than her). Like staying in an episode of The Wire.

Staff were really helpful. Location is just on the edge of town so good. The shared kitchen area was vile and I wouldn't dare use it. You get what you pay for. ALL of the hot water taps in my room were broken, even in the shower. Id stay again no problem.

This is the worst hostel I have ever stayed in. When we arrived we were given the room and told there were three beds available, on entering the room we could not tell what beds were free the room was a mess and hadn't been cleaed in a very long time. The kitchen lacked cups or glasses. The bathrooms were filthy with dirty linen everywhere and the only bathroom that was ever available had only cold water. I asked for a blanket but they had none so spent a cold night.

It was disgusting. There was no toilet paper in any of the rest rooms. The bathroom showers where in the same box that the toilet was in... No female / male .. No windows in some rooms.. No air condition in the summer months. You can't get a refund. It was THE WORST hotel I have ever stated at.. And I have stayed in them all over Europe and oz . We left and went to a little adorable hostels on the beach..

We had a private room with shared bathroom. The room obviously hadn't been cleaned properly in a while, the carpet was thick with dust and the walls were mouldy. The lock on the door was flimsy and didn't feel safe. There was a boiler in our room making it very hot so we were forced to buy a fan as they wouldn't provide one. There were only 2 dirty bathrooms for the whole place, with no soap, often with no toilet paper and the one toilet upstairs had a broken seat. $2 for 24 hours wifi was good.
