Just hope you don't end up sharing a room with someone who works in the hostel. Whilst they'll take very opportunity to tell you to not make noise when you wake up - they can come in at 5am and sit on the phone for ages. Having the misfortune to share my room with these made my stay at the hostel far less enjoyable.

For some reason people where not very friendly or approachable at this hostel - i don't think this is the hostel's fault, more th people staying there. great otherwise.

I thought there was a really great atmosphere. The lounge area was great - as was breakfast and the dinnwe. A great opportunity to meet people. I would recommend this hostel to friends.

Excellent location and all the staff were friendly and helpfull. Large common areas to meet people and lots of computers for free internet access. Rooms were a bit small and cramped and also, the dorms don't have locks on the doors and anyone can pretty much walk through the front door 24/7 even though the front desk is always manned.

This hostel is the best you'll find in SF. But watch out Hostelworld, they changed the price they charged me for (nothing to do with the tax), and NEVER ansered my mails (I sent more than 5 mails). SO MY ADVICE: CALL DIRECTLY THE HOSTEL. IT'S EVEN CHEAPER! But Adelaide is great: really nice, personnalized, well located (North Beach would be better maybe), safe, secure, calm, free breakfast, etc.
