Could do with a facelift. Noisy at weekends.

This Hostel has no one ever at the reception. Staff were not friendly and couldn't care less about their jobs. The decor was freaky like something in a horror film! The Tv room is like something out of the dark ages. They still have a VCR and VHS tapes which i thought were long gone off the radar. Internet is a rip off. Most of the common bathrooms do not have a sink. there is a sign to use bacterial gel on the wall but these have been torn off the wall.

The whole place needs a good clean! Staff seemed flat and uninterested. Could be a really nice pub-style rustic place with a bit of effort.

A really nice place to stay, convenient for shopping or walking on the beach. Good facilities, and pleasant, helpful staff.

Everything feels a little tired and run down. Nice feature having your own tv but free wifi would be better.

Great location, great bar and the food is good too. Would stay again when in Kaikoura.
