It was for 2 nights in Irkoutsk but this hostel is very well recommended !!!
One staff member good the other one couldn't care less as I arrived at 8, she saw me knocking through the curtains but refused to open the door. Came back at 9.30 and got an icy response.
This is a normal flat costumed as a hostel. It has neither the cosiness of a flat nor the facilities as a hostel.

Only stayed there one night before traveling onwards on the Transsib, but really liked the place. Good location near the city center but also near the train station. Great staff who helped to arrange for a taxi for 4am that ended up costing even less then the already cheap price, and got up in the middle of the night to help with luggage. (Thank you Julia!). Also, I had to rearrange my booking on very sjhort notice and they were very accomodating in that regard. Would stay there again.
I liked this hostel because it was quiet, the woman who worked there was super kind and helpful, and it was in a good location. It was a bit hard to find at first, but once there, I was content with my choice. I even returned there on my way back through.
Nice Staff good people but need More SPACE... in future N1
Close to the train station and with great staff who'll help you organize any trip you might want.
this was our 2nd stay this week (both were 1 night) and our last stay was awful. This one however is exactly what I'd expect from a hostel. The man we dealt with was friendly and professional, and was very helpful. We actually had privacy this stay and didn't have to wait as long for the bathroom as last time. Still wouldn't recommend but good for a small budget.
The toilet and shower are in one room, and that holds things up. The towels are the size of tea towels - too small. At 3:30 in the morning someone showed up to check in. The check in proceeded to happen in our room which was also the office... Our bunks were just placed in the same room as the office. They woke us up and even after 3 requests didn't take the conversation to the hallway. Then at 7am, laundry started at the foot of our beds. I was not impressed. And THERE IS NO BREAKFAST. A LIE!!!
when we arrived at the hostel the power was out which also means no running water. Only 1 bathroom so wait time was an issue as the place was full. The woman working wasn't friendly or helpful and there are 2 bunk beds in the office which is where we slept and she slept on the couch the whole night. very awkward.
Nice staff in a nice apartment. We arrived early in the morning from the train station and we could already enjoy the kitchen facilities (tea, coffee...). The double room is huge, and the dorms are also ok with a curtain for privacy. Nice hotel for small budgets !
Location discription can beter. The last steps are not clear. I was nearby ( 50 meter) and I walk back to street and walkend a hour more. The frontdoor is not at streetside but at the back of the building. The 24 hours telephone service is excellent. Sophie is a sun in the house, positieve and happy. She and Batorov Leonarid explain the things in good way and help me to get transportation and sleeping location in Udan-Ude. Great and toppie ( in dutch).
