Admiralty Hostel Reviews

We were staying at Admiralty Hostel with our 2 little kids and it was absolutely perfect stay. All staff members are nice and helpful. If we come back to St Petersburg we will definitely stay at Admiralty.

the location of admiralty hostel is just perfect! the is still no sign on the door, but if you're lucky one of the hotels will let you in and you can find your way up to the 6th floor where you have an amazing view over the city... staff is friendly, most of them english speaking but not all ;)

Hostel is wonderful, good located. stuff is really friendly and ready to provide you with everything you may need. note that in 8 person dorms there are no wardrobes or else to put your stuff in, only few chairs and small table besides beds of course. but that's not catastrophic) Admiralty Hostel is one of the best variants for such a low price I have ever seen before. and you can listen to radio while taking a shower - cool)

It's highly recommendable! It's near the Historic heart of Sankt-Peterburg: 5min to the Hermitage by walking! Also, staff is vey attentive and good-willing. Facilities are good, also, and it's easy to find: the only problem is that there are 2 or 3 advertisments of hotels at the front door, and none are from Admiralty. Also, there's no phone number in the website. These drawbacks, although, are nothing compared to the goods of staying in this hostel: location and staff are worth it.

The hostel is really nice, and really well located. our room was clean and big. The kitchen is nice. Bathrooms were pretty clean, but their shower is really hard to take : either burning hot and cold. Don't go there if you expect to sleep early at night : very noisy, and nobody told anybody to shut up even at 2 am !

Good directions indicated at time of booking, but there is no sign with the hostel's name in front of the building, which can hinder the arrival. Excelent location, 5 minutes walk to Hermitage Museum and very close to other tourist attractions. Good price for rooms, but few and dirty bathrooms.

I had to pay an additional, unexpected ~100 RR for bedding. Unpleasant surprise, as I was choosing for price. Overall it was a lovely place, just be aware of the cost difference.

The hostel is located in the heart of the historic district of St. Petersburg, near the Winter Palace and the Admiralty. The views from the window in my room were something to behold. The staff were very nice and helpful, although some of the staff did not pay as much attention to cleaning the hostel as others did. Since it was low season, there weren't that many people in my eight-person male dorm room, and the room felt spacious. Overall, it was good value for money.

The family room (4 beds) on the web-site is described with private bathroom and in the part with general information it says "shared bathroom" but in reality the bathroom is shared.
