About a couple of days after I had checked-out, I received a message from the hostel staff where it showed they made some sort of confusion about dates, but I suppose the doubts were all cleared after my email replying to it.

Excelent location, great reception, and structure.

We booked the ensuite room and even though it was more expensive, it was really noisy. People would chat and listen to music all night. It was impossible to sleep. We had to ask the staff-guy every night to convince people to tone down. If you want to get some sleep, do not book the ensuite room.

Great location with a good atmosphere. Good breakfast, loads of plug sockets in rooms and lockers for the biggest of bags. Staff are super helpful . We found tours cheaper elsewhere but that's often the case. Highly recommended.

It's not very clean and there is a lot of construction going on at the moment. But the breakfast with the monkeys is worth it. There are not only the monkeys but also humming birds and a lot of other animals around. Even the view from the breakfast area is great. If you want to stay close to the beach choose another hostel. Ipanema is the best place to stay close to the beach.

Staff were not helpful at all. Rooms were ok. Cleanliness was very poor. Breakfast was 2 pieces of bread and a tiny bowl of salad. The only good thing was the location as it was 3 blocks away from the beach, but would not stay here again.
