The staff here we very helpful and made it a lot more enjoyable. The location is a bit dodge, it's right in 'Da hood' but it's close to the airport and the free shuttle service is also real bonus, cool drivers too. A great place overall if you don't want to spend much and need some short term accom

It's more a cheap hotel near the airport than it is a backpacker's hostel. The "nobody over 30" statement is a lie - most of the guests were 30-40 year old drifter-types. The police were there when I arrived taking a statement from two Italian guests who had come back in the evening to find their bags stolen from their private room. I will say, though, that the staff was fine, and that the amenities were amazing for the price. The heated pool really is heated.

i have been backpacking for the last 7-8months, &never have i had an issue with the hostel i was staying at-until here. i would strongly reccomend to any single female travelers NOT to stay here. the \'buffet\' dinner was fries, cornchips, rice, &deep fried potato gems. the same for the 3nights i stayed there. it was so bad& i felt so uncomfortable that i actually requested my own room. something ive never done before. just didnt feel safe. creepers everywhere! NO AGE LIMIT OF 30 trust me!

This was my second stay at the hostel, both times Ive used as had connecting flights with long stop overs and great to stay rather than airport. That said would also recommend for a few nites stay as free shuttles help you get about

Very good hostel, loads of freebies, good muffins and close to the airport with free parking and wii. Free shuttle to the airport so will stay again before I fly out!

I stayed here for the convenience of it being near LAX. If you're in LA to check out Hollywood, don't stay here! Go to Hollywood or West Hollywood Banana Bungalow. The Adventurer is a budget hotel that does not seem very safe. You won't want to wander around this area. Also if you want the free shuttle from the airport to the budget hotel, you need to call them at Adventurer for them to come and pick you up. I was waiting around for free shuttles and ended up paying $17 (+tip) for a cab

Very close to LAX and free unlimited popcorn a plus. 20 bed dorm was a bit much with no place to store your luggage. Only 2 bathrooms in the room. free champagne was nice but "breakfast" was just a muffin and tea/coffee. Nice muffin though. Great pool. Parking a tight squeeze.

This place is good base for airport - I only stayed one nite to get plan the next day. However, great shuttle service to bus station and easy to explore LA. Pool very nice and hotel is like motel
