Like a prison, thankfully we found a way out having only booked one night! Worst hostel in Australia...

Don't go there! It is a dirty ghost town. Dreadful. Disgusting. And I did not feel safe. Looks like a prison. I could not get out fast enough.

I was happy with my dorm room, my room was brightly painted and clean, with a mirror ( I loved the fact I didn't have to go to the bathroom to do my hair )and a fridge.So many hostels have share fridges which i hate I felt my food was safe. Townsville was very warm so having a pool was great ,also the aircon was heaven.

Had such a fantstic time at this backpackers that when I return from magnetic island I am going to come back so I can have a relaxing few days at the roof top pool. The facilities at this hostel were very clean and had some lovely long hot showers which was great as at previous hostels there was no hot water. Staff here were very helpful in explaining where things were in the city and provided me with a map of main things to do and see in Townsville.
