This is a very nice small family run hotel. The staff are very friendly and helpful. If you stay here, then make sure to request an even number room. They are much louder because of noise from the street, but they are almost twice the size of the back rooms, have a fridge, and a balcony. All rooms are the same price. We actually stayed in 3 different rooms over the course of 5 nights and they were all pretty nice. Over all, a good value for the price.

The couple who run this hostel is truly AMAZING. They are so friendly and willing to help with anything. The service they give is that of a 5 star hotel. The facilities on the other hand, is nothing like what the pictures show. It's run down and moldy.

We ended up staying six days. Our hosts are wonderful! Always available, friendly and accommodating. Breakfast served in your room is included. Hot water in sink as well as shower. Tours arranged painlessly and economically. Printed map with recommendations for excellent cheap restaurants. We stored our luggage in the hotel while we went on a tour of Halong Bay, and it was waiting in our new room when we returned. Fantastic deal!

Small modest place, but doesn't cost too much, so good value for money. Gread location and very nice staff. Only bad thing happened with loundry, they ruin our whites, so be careful with that.

The rooms of this guesthouse are really run down and in bad shape but the staff more than makes up for it. Nang and Doan are the friendliest most helpful hosts. You immediately get a family feeling. They went out of their way to make us comfortable. The location isalso perfect. You're in the middle of the Old Quarter away from all the touristic places and you see a slice of the Vietnamese daily life right in front of you. I definetely advise it to anyone who's not too fussy about their room.

The couple that run the hotel are so friendly and helpful. On the last day with limited time my friend suggested she wanted to go get some oranges. The lovely staff went off on a motorbike to collect them for us. Great place in an excellent location!

We were so satisfied with this hostel we booked it a second time after our trip to Halong Bay. Only to find out they gave away our (confirmed) room when we arrived in the evening. Great value for money at the first sight, but not so trustworthy staff.

Fantastic family run hostel/hotel. The owner and his wife were readily available 24 hours a day. They helped to organise our trip to Ha Long, our airport transfers and our accommodation and allowed to make one easy payment for everything. The rooms were very clean and the deluxe room has it's own computer with free internet. The hotel itself is perfectly located; just a ten minute walk to the water puppets theatre , 5 minutes from the Dong Xuan and also very close to the train station

The room was clean and mine even has a balcony overlooking the streets. The location is excellent if you want to feel the excitement of the old quarter and plenty of shops and restaurants a short walk from the hotel. Doan, the owner and his wife had treated me very well during my 2 nights stay there. I'll definitely stay here again.

The local Family that run this place are the sort of people you want to meet on your travels. They couldn't do enough for us, even fixing the zip on our broken bag wasn't a hassle. The location couldn't be much better as it is a stones throw away from all the hustle and bustle of Hanoi, yet is subjected to the noise. It's also only a short walk to all of the sights. I would and will Definitely recommend this hostel to anyone travelling to Hanoi
