The owners are amazing people who are happy to chat with a traveler about anything from politics to sky diving. The hostel is a house that has been converted so there are amenities like a great TV room, deck with incredible views, fire braziers with comfy couches, etc. The food is cheap, cooked by the husband, and exactly what you want after a day of exploring and surfing. The hostel is located a little out of the way on dirt road, but the 5 min drive is worth the views and people.

African array hostel is truly a hidden gem. With its quiet area and stunning views, it's a little slice of paradise. What really sets the place apart though, is the staff. They are some of the most friendly people you'll meet and Matt can definitely cook up a storm :). Say hello to Sia for me, my new little friend. We would love to come back again :) thanks for a brilliant stay!

Thank you for taking the time to review African Array Lodge, as we explained on Tripadvisor we would like to offer our apology as untidy rooms is not typical to our establishment and we did try and work diligently on a solution to the problem and changed all the linen at 1 in the morning and could not get the towels as guests were sleeping and could not bother them. We would like to offer you a free nights accommodation to experience out true hospitality.
