After waiting more than 30 minutes to check in, we were sent to another location not too far from After Hostel. This location has no official hostel sign. It looks more like a residential apartment. The second location is rather clean, but room has no key slot. We had to close our room with lock which can easily be unscrewed / broken by anyone. Doors cannot be properly closed from the inside. Free wifi is available but there's only one bathroom & hot water runs out quickly in the morning.

This place was sketch balls! The staff was not attentive, the place smelled, and the room looked pretty janky

Cosy little hostel and kitchenette. Had a 6bed dorm with a balcony. Always staff onsite. Only negative was lack of showers - only 2 for the ladies, and one toilet.

The hostel is quite good for young people, well equiped kitchen, big nice common room, wifi, 24 hours supermarket on the next street, BUT: We booked 4 bed dorm.i dont like big dorms. When we arrived they gave us beds in 8 bed (4bunk beds) and the room was really small for 8 people! They sad dont mind the price is the same, but man, there was not 8 dorm in hostelworld, only 4 and 6. Guys its not so bad budget hostel for the price, but this situation is not honest.

There are much better hostels in the area. The main plus on this property is the unusual, but very nice staff.

This hostel left something to be desired. The location really was the only redeeming quality. BUT. The beds were metal, so every time you want to change positions, there was an obnoxious creaking noise. The absolute worst was at night, when people were partying out in the common room ALL NIGHT. I have no idea where the hostel people were for this, or why they didn't tell them to be quiet. NO SLEEP. They may have been out there drinking and blasting music with the rest of them. It was awful.

The best choice for young travelers, who hang around in the city all day. You can cook at the end of the day in the equipped kitchen, check your emails at the computers, and have a refreshing shower in the clean bathroom. The staff is very friendly and helpful, ask them, and get useful informations! I feel myself very lucky to find this hostel.

After Hostel was a really nice place to stay for the short time I had in Barcelona. The street where its situated is beautiful, nice bars and restaurants and then only 10minutes walk into the centre. It was clean and tidy at all times, theres always staff members in the hostel 24/7, who were really friendly and helpful. Works for people on a budget, especially since you get full use of the kitchen meaning you can buy and cook your food there. Overall I had a great stay there, would recommend it.

Decent place, I was there off-season, so the place was pretty empty. But nice location and friendly staff.
