i have stayed in Istanbul many times and this was the least pleasant stay. Our room was next to reception and after the upstairs recreation room shut, people went downstairs and were extremely noisy. The staff did not stop people making noise or move them elsewhere and it was impossible to sleep. The staff also didnt seem to be in possession of accurate facts and did not know the best way to get to the airport. They also did not have enough towels so we were unable to have showers. i have stayed in Istanbul many times and this was the least pleasant stay. Agora Hostel and Guesthouse is AWESOME. The staff is incredible and bathrooms are so clean, which is important to me! Also - you get to store your belongings under the bed with a lock (for free, might I add), so you don't have to worry about your things getting stolen.Agora Hostel and Guesthouse is AWESOME. Great hostel. really clean, pleasant enviornment. Bathrooms were GREAT--clean and lots of showers. Owner a bit of a creep, but then they all seem to be that way. Wonderful location - 2 easy blocks to major sights (Topkapi Palace, Basilica Cistern or Blue Mosque) and/or metro. Clean, new and helpful staff!! Even a jaquzzi tub! Great breakfast on roof or for watching a sunset. Safe neighborhood with restaurants within 1 block. Highly recommend and will return myself.Wonderful location - 2 easy blocks to major sights (Topkapi Palace, Basilica Cistern or Blue Mosque) and/or metro. Clean, new and helpful staff!!
