Great location, amazing staff, great breakfast, everything is perfect except that it´s a bit more exepensive than the ones around and the people staying in are not very willing to go out and meet people. The guy in the reception is great! ask anything and he will give you the most complete answers he can give with a big smile in his face. I recommend the hostel for those who want a quiet and peacefull place to sleep.

Excellent all around really. I went in jan so cold but heaters kept me warm inside. Sweet view from roof, great friendly staff, modern restrooms. Sick central location.

The hostel is in a very good location. Staff are very friendly and helpful. The storage locker under the bunk beds is great but I was missing some coat hangers and a trash can in the dorm. You don't get the usual duvet but a very thin blanket without bedlinen (I felt a bit cold). Toilets and showers are in the basement and are not segregated. If all dorms are full, I think they are not enough. Breakfast is at the bar on the third floor. Very filling. First place in Turkey where I got juice!!

I loved staying at the Agora. The staff were friendly yet quirky which I liked a lot. I was made to feel welcome and the facilities and breakfast were excellent. I'll definitely stay at the Agora again when I return to Istanbul.

I've been there in winter; hot shower, clean enough, there were a lot of things to eat for breakfast. Good terrace, but it closed in late afternoon. Sometimes in some hostels it is possible to check in every time. In that one only after 2 pm.

Agora is very well located for Sultanhamet - near all the sites, just behind the Blue Mosque and if it was any nearer Topkapi Palace, it would be part of the official royal grounds. Great atmosphere, great lounge upstairs on the roof which always has people. Friendly atmosphere, people from everywhere exchanging notes and ideas - just what you need from a hostel. Staff is fantastic, very friendly and very helpful. Taksim is a bit further away, would need to take the Tramvay and then the tunnel.

Hostel was very nice. Breakfast was decent but the view on top was great! It was a good hostel with an amazing staff. Very helpful and kind. Welcoming atmosphere as well. Clean hostel, although the rooms got a bit stuffy =( Nice hot showers and cute little place.

I had a great stay at Agora, the staff is very helpful and give great service, the place is very clean and breakfast very good. They seem to attract amazingly nice people although of course this could never be guarenteed. The location is where all the historical sights are, and you can easily get to the bus/ferry terminals and tram by foot, however it is a very touristy neighborhood, not where the locals hang out. Overall a great value and a very comfortable place to stay!

The rooms were very basic and they have the audacity to charge you more for a room because it has a window in it. The rooms and bathrooms were clean but the lockers in the dorm rooms were awful, they were built such that the door would slam on the ground every time someone opened their locker and the metal door hitting a stone floor was not a sound you want to hear at four in the morning. Additionally, all of their place recommendations seems like the hostel had a monetary interest in them.

Bathrooms were excellent -- really spacious and clean which is always appreciated. The rooftop terrace was really nice with a view of the harbor and mosques and such. Location is good for the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia area. Directions were a little difficult to understand.

We had a great time at the agora Hostel. The staff was super friendly and the room the three of us shared was very nice, very clean and a nice bathroom. I definitely will come back another time. Great city. Great Hostel.

In the shadow of the Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque, this place was probably the cleanest hostel I've ever visited. Definitely not a party house - though we all went out drinking nearly every night - and it's right next to the tram. Breakfast on the top deck was Turkish but satisfying/filling. The neighborhood it's in - Sultanahmet - is the historic old city, and the only thing to do is at night. You'll still have a blast though.
