this was a very bad place to stay. i booked on line at hostel world a dorm for 9.50 euros. when i arrived they said that they have no beds at that rate and insisted i pay 17 euros. even when i showed them my confirmation email fromhostelworld they still insisted i pay 17 euros. a very loud arguement and finally they gave me a dorm bed at the hostelworld rate. at midnight when i went to bed there were 37 empty dorm beds ----- bad bad people who lie and cheat

this place can be loud, with the train tracks right out the window and the bar downstairs. the womens showers are terrible, the toilets arent cleaned, and the rooms are freezing. kitchen is very very tiny. if your going to stay here bring earplugs, request a heater and shower in the mens. also a room within a room is not a private room ok

Cheap place, good for an overnight stay. Wouldn't recomend it for a longer stay.

Need more chairs and shelves in rooms. Also bathrooms are in poor condition. Etna tours are great! Staff is nice.

This was a great hostel but... its a summer location So it was pretty much empty which is something to take note off when you are traveling in the off-season! Still a great location, security wasnt the best but apart from that, friendly staff, kitchen facilities and the bar and restaurant connected to it is great!!!

Anyone could walk in and have access to the dorms. Otherwise very good.

the river under the hostel caused by a lava flow, and the fact that they make their own wine were amazing aspects, and i met great people.

Well...it's well located and clean and the staff is nice and helpful. Otherwise the trains run nearby and at night might be very animated...for fun in good.

This place is a little depressing, the only real good thing is the location and the friendly staff. Grimy, dumpy, but I guess it fits with Catania! Beds are particulary bad, really noisy and low bar on bottom bunk means I left with a bruised knee!
