The owners of the hostel (Giuseppe and Andrea) are very friendly, helpful and enthousiastic. They bring the guests together and organise common activities in the evenings. They showed us nice non-touristic spots in the city and made sure we had a really good time. However, there is no heating in the building (which is a problem in the winter). Also, the bathroom was a little shabby (you were asked not to throw paper in the toilet and couldn't use the sink), but it was clean.

Pros: Close proximity to Central Terminal, shopping, bus routes, cafes/restaurants, and the port. The staff were inviting and welcoming. Though at first glance, the hostel appeared unsafe...my beliefs were dispelled as it was very safe. Cons: There could have been heat, even from a portable system. The bathrooms were not the cleanest...nor were they the dirtiest either. The main bathroom sink was not working, but others were available to use.

This is one of the worst hostels I have stayed in and I have backpacked many times including now where I backpack for over three months now across southern Europe. The only thing good about it is it's location, that's it. One of just two bathrooms was broken. The other one had a 1,8 m (5'10") ceiling height and hasn't been cleaned in months. The beds were uncomfortable and loud, the sheets smelled and the room was cold. Over all the whole place was just dirty and smelly - gross!

I highly recommand you this hostel. Giussepe and andrea are very good host, the most helpful i ever met. Without them my journey in palermo would'nt be the same. Good location, center of palermo.

Guiseppe and Andrea are amazing! They showed us everything about Palermo and made the hostel into a nice family! Never been to a more social and friendlier hostel before! And moreover, the location is perfect.

The hostel is between the central station and the city center, you can reach everything by foot. The staff is great, always trying to make your stay the best you could have wanted (free drinks, going out together, chat, information). They took really good care of us and were always friendly and uncomplicated. The rooms aren't perfect but fine for some days to spend there. Bathroom could need a makeover but besides of that was everything fine and I would stay there when in Palermo again (-;

Ai Quattro Canti is by far the best hostel I've ever visited. The owners go out of their way to ensure that everyone has a great time (explaining the map, suggesting what to see based on your interests and time frame, and where to find all the best food in non-tourist places. Common areas are warm and inviting; I genuinely felt like I was staying at a friend's home. There is a sense of community among the guests and they even organizing nightly events and cook group meals for everyone. 5 stars!

This hostel was an amazing find! Not only is it a good price, but it's amazing fun and in a great location to get to everything Palermo has to offer.They even have suggestions for daytrips if you want to see outside of palermo! They have it all! The staff is amazing: even though my friends & me came at a pretty "quiet" time, they were still enthusiastic and fun, they even took us out at night for dinner and entertainment afterward. If I ever go to Palermo again, I will DEF. be staying here!

The hostel is located in an old palazzo near the center of the city. You can walk to many sights, bars and restaurants from there. The building is under renovation but upstairs it's ok. Giuseppe was really nice. He and the other staff were amazingly helpful and went out of their way to make you comfortable. Good suggestions. I just wish the hostel itself was cleaner and more updated. No lockers.The bathrooms need immediate attention, but otherwise good place from which to explore Palermo.
