Such a cute hostel!! Anne was so nice, kind of like having a mum around- would do anything for you! It's a bit in the middle of nowhere but you kinda know that because Doolin is tiny. There's some really cool pubs within walking distance so had some good nights there. Such a lovely walk along to the cliffs. Free washing- amazing! Never had this before. The only thing I would say is put some curtains in the bedrooms because the sun wakes you up at about 6am. LOVED THIS PLACE!

The staff was so very helpful. The woman even drew me a map to find the trailhead to get to the Cliffs

The week I spent in Doolin was fantastic, best week I've had in my time in Ireland. I fully recommend the Allie River Hostel, and Doolin, to all future travellers!

Absolutely gorgeous place! Lovely to have the fire roaring at night. Our room was pretty basic but fair for what we paid. Host was lovely and acknowledged us by name. Would definately recommend for a quiet getaway.

It was raining when we arrived. Never the less Ann made as very welcome. She showed as around and explained everything to us. We could even choose which bedroom we would like to stay in. The hostel and the hostility is very good and I really can recommend a stay here. Thanks Anja and Torsten

This hostel is absolutely adorable, I felt like I was at summer camp with the warm wooden panneling and the huge kitchen and chill out areas. Steve was a HUGE help, telling us how to sneak into the cliffs of Moher without paying (haha) and providing a last minute breakfast ever so graciously. I would absolutely stay here again, it is just so cozy!

This was the best hostel I have stayed in so far on my trip. The beds were comfortable, and the bathrooms and showers were en suite and very roomy. The staff was also very helpful, far beyond the call of duty. I wanted to hike to see the Cliffs of Moher, but had to be back for my bus, so the desk staff offered to pick me up from the visitors center and drive me back to the hostel so I could see the Cliffs without missing the bus. Overall, I was very impressed with this hostel.

This hostel is truly lovely, set in a beautiful landscape near the Cliffs of Moher. The staff was extremely friendly and the hostel is clean and feels comfortable and homey. It is a ten minute walk from the gorgeous coast and there are a few pubs to listen to Irish music in. There is also a huge, well-stocked kitchen so you can cook for yourself. It's certainly a little gem of a hostel and we had a great time staying here.

Great staying there. Good location if you are staying in Doolin. It is right in between the main pubs and near the road. Sits on a beautiful river where you can go out and read.

A fantastic hostel, a beautiful renovated old farmhouse with friendly and helpful staff. Great place to stay to start from to see the cliffs of Moher as there is a wonderful walk that starts just down the road and goes along the cliffs to the visitor's centre.

Staff was so friendly! Steve was like Mel Gibson from "What Women Want" where he can read your mind - we came in from a chilly walk and were going to go down and make a fire, but when we went downstairs, Steve was making a fire. And then he offered us some hot tea :) Hostel was a decent walk from the cliffs (maybe 2 hours), but it was very scenic if you get good weather! Also, it was only 5-10 minutes from the pubs - I would definitely recommend staying during the music festival week :)
