Perfect location. A bit loud at night, but was able to cope!

WiFi is limited to one specific very small area of three picnic tables - that would have been pretty impressive in 2002 but not at all good enough in 2015. Beds are comfortable. Rooms clean. Location very central. Staff helpful, particularly with bookings and travel plans. People smoke Everywhere though, so the whole place smells vaguely of cigarette butts. Overall it's alright but I'll try somewhere else if I visit Airlie Beach again.

The majority of travellers is acting decent, there will always be the one who may get a little too drunk. This Hostel is plastered with signs reminding you about their rules, that they will evict you without refund at their discretion. You have to sign an blanket credit card guarantee for damages and leave a $50 deposit or an ID for your keys. As helpful as it was at that time, when we forgot the key inside the locked room, we got a spare without checking our ID; there were thefts to no surprise

Perfect location and private dorm rooms were pretty quiet even on the weekend. Staff were very helpful in booking tours

Magnums is a huge hostel with everything you need. The bar is right there, the location is prime. Being right beside Wooly's is also pretty convenient. The staff were nice and the showers were hot.

Amazing hostel. LIke small houses in the jungle. Staff was pretty nice and there are to kitchens :)

Very well located! Kitchen a bit dirty, but I suppose because of the guests!

Cool rooms. Right beside a big bar but they emphasize no drinking on property. Perfect for planing around Whitsunday trip.

The room in which I stayed did not have curtains and once I had to take shower on cold water as no hot water would come out.

Stayed in a twin room, had to move room on check in as the first room was really musty smelling Room was small but fine! Very little security about hostel, grousp just drinking on balconys with music playing till 12 and no one interviened Fine stay really nice quaint little place

We stayed in a private double room for one night. The room had AC and a ceiling fan which was good. Had a kettle, fridge and plates etc. Nice location in centre of Airlie Beach so close to shops and lagoon etc. About a 10 to 15 minute walk from the greyhound bus stop. There was a lively bar at the front but the accommodation is further back so its not too noisy. Free wifi is only in one location but worked well. Would recommend and return!

Great location. Big queue to check in and it took ages. Stayed in a private double, room was ok, bit musty but clean enough.

Very nice place to stay, good value for money.

Wifi dosen't work at all. Staff a bit rude at times.

Cheap hostel with good position an cleanliness but really poor security and kitchen is almost useless.

Really nice hostel, especially for the price. No lockers in dorms but you can leave valuables in reception. Bar seemed to have a great atmosphere but I was drinking elsewhere both nights. Reception is a bit disorganised with long delays to check in/out as staff prioritize phone calls over the people standing and waiting in front of them, trying to be both a reception and travel agency. Luggage storage is a pain as you've to wait for them to open it at certain times

the kitchen is way to small, but the rooms are spacious. In the centre of Airlie and a nice bar next to it.

The kitchen was too small for so many people , and shutting at nine meant it always seemed even busier as people had less time to use it. The rooms were decent though , and the wifi was free and a decent connection , though it was only limited to one outdoor seating area. The prices were quite reasonable, although they charged for everything else (luggage storage etc) they for. Overall, a decent place to stay.

Lovely setting and good location. Room was very clean also

We had to wait 45mn before checkin-in and the receptionist was really rude, just took the money and didn't explain anything. But apart from that we definitely enjoyed our stay at Magnums!! Cool atmosphere, nice room in the middle of the "jungle", right in the heart of Airlie Beach... loved it!
