Wifi dosen't work at all. Staff a bit rude at times.

Cheap hostel with good position an cleanliness but really poor security and kitchen is almost useless.

Really nice hostel, especially for the price. No lockers in dorms but you can leave valuables in reception. Bar seemed to have a great atmosphere but I was drinking elsewhere both nights. Reception is a bit disorganised with long delays to check in/out as staff prioritize phone calls over the people standing and waiting in front of them, trying to be both a reception and travel agency. Luggage storage is a pain as you've to wait for them to open it at certain times

the kitchen is way to small, but the rooms are spacious. In the centre of Airlie and a nice bar next to it.

The kitchen was too small for so many people , and shutting at nine meant it always seemed even busier as people had less time to use it. The rooms were decent though , and the wifi was free and a decent connection , though it was only limited to one outdoor seating area. The prices were quite reasonable, although they charged for everything else (luggage storage etc) they for. Overall, a decent place to stay.

Lovely setting and good location. Room was very clean also

We had to wait 45mn before checkin-in and the receptionist was really rude, just took the money and didn't explain anything. But apart from that we definitely enjoyed our stay at Magnums!! Cool atmosphere, nice room in the middle of the "jungle", right in the heart of Airlie Beach... loved it!

Had a lovely stay. Staff very helpful and friendly. Great location has a bar and night club on site but really quite in the rooms great night sleep. Definitely stay here again

Location is great. Private room is cheap and clean, which is nice, but feels a little bit like a bunker. Staff is friendly. Big hostel, lots of small little houses in a jungle area. Doesnt really feel like a hostel, more like a vacation park.

I would have liked to have soap availible in every bathroom.

great dorm rooms with ensuites and a free WiFi area but the connection is a little weak. location is perfect and great value. kitchen is a good size but needs to be cleaned more often. staff are helpful enough. great place to meet people as a solo backpacker. would stay again.

I wanted to check in at 11am. I went to reception and had to wait there 45min until I could check in, because there were so many people and not enough staff. That sucks. If there is more staff at reception, it is a very good hostel. Nice big rooms with bathroom. The Wifi is very slow and only in a small area.

Not a bad hostel. Really cheap double room. The biggest downfall is the kitchen way too small and lack of utensils. It is all outside so the bathroom can have many insects and spiders. Got bitten a lot during the 30mins I sat at the wifi area!

Good place for having fun. There is a big bar and a night club near the reception. The room is nice and clean, the air con has a timer and turn on and off during the day and night, this can cause some hot periods inside of the room. There are lots of restaurants, shops, a bottle shop and a woolies near. It is cheap to wash and dry clothes, just 3 dollars for machine. No lockers.

Didn't enjoy our stay here. The rooms are are quite good, but what mainly affected us was the kitchen. I don't know how big the property is at Magnums, but it's huuuuuge. And there's only ONE really SMALL kitchen which is always dirty. So whenever we wanted to cook, we always had to wait for a long time. Only four cookers, COME ON. There is a "second kitchen" which they call the breakfast room, but it doesn't have any cooking gear and it's super small, so no one really bothered.

it's not a real hostel, it's more a bungalow park, which is fun! because it's different.

Great location, excellent value for money, and beautiful grounds around the back of the hostel - putting lockers in rooms would be a good improvement on the security side of things, but I wasn't worried about my posessions whilst staying there.

Lovely jungle vibe

This really is the best location at airlie beach. There is always something on at the bar, although it was a little quiet whilst we were there, it was peak family holiday time! The staff could not have done more to help us have the best experience and gave us discount on the room. The only thing I think it could do with is a welcome meet and greet at the bar to introduce people!

Really great atmosphere. Beautiful rainforest setting around the rooms.
