Good location and friendly staff and a real sense of warm, communitarian living. Travellers unable to embrace this tone, coupled with the necessary expectations for facilities that match the price would be better advised to try a Travelodge instead! Security is premised on the 'Out here? Miles from anywhere' ethos so may prove a culture shock to townies like me. My advice is leave room in your boot or keep valuables with you.

Not for me. Location is misleading, much better options closer to Fort William for comparable prices. Good if you're looking for bare minimum and cheap but I think you can find better.

The hostel keeper was very helpful and accommodating. We are not frequent Hostel-stayers so some of our expectations may be due to our ignorance. There was no lock on our door so if all of us left the room we had to carry our valuables with us. We didn't know there wouldn't be towels available, even for an extra fee, so we couldn't shower unless we wanted to drip dry. Bathrooms reasonably clean but smelled strongly of urine. Beds uncomfortable, sheets clean but very pilled so they felt gritty.

We regret this family did not enjoy their stay. Our hostel is very secure. We have been here for 24 years and live on site. We have towels for hire if only we had been asked. It is hard to satisfy all guests as far as comfort of beds go but we are in the process of upgrading ours. The bedding in the room commented upon is new and is not pilled. We strive to keep our hostel clean ,but it is a fact that some guests are more considerate than others when using the facilities.

Great room, reasonable price.

The floor in showers is very cold, probably wooden-plastic trays would protect visitor's feet from cold. Everything is brilliant in hour guest house. Thank you. You have done a good job!

I've used this hostel several times over the years for hillwalking. This time there were 7 of us, some were staying for the first time and were very impessed. I keep going back there, that should say enough.
