Although very basic the hostel was warm and the showers were hot. Sauna is an excellent wee plus point after a day of walking in the rain! Garden looked lovely although we were there in October so didn't use it. Would definitely use this hostel again.

Location is great if you have a car and want to disconnect from the world, or if you only go to sleep. Is very far away from any big town so make sure to take all the food you need with you, as the next shop is about 12 miles from there and there are no buses around. The hostel itself is cool, is a big house with big lounge rooms and kitchen and also a sauna. Is very clean also and peaceful. I guess the worst part is that there is no wifi and you don't have any signal there either...

Glad you enjoyed your stay. Buses and trains come to Roy Bridge which is 2 miles from the hostel and we offer a pick up service. The nearest Spar shop is 5 miles away and is open till 20:00 in the winter, 22:00 in the summer. There is wi-fi ,but it is not fast and not a strong signal. This encourages greater interaction with other guests and a good opportunity to disconnect as you observed!

- far away from anything - no WIFI - stunning surounding - cold in rooms (middle of September)

It was a remote but beautiful place, I liked it a lot. Rooms were nice and friendly (and warm!) the kitchen pleasant and hosts very friendly. It is not far from Fort William and several attractions of this area in easy reach, also Cairngorms is not far to travel if you want - so a good location I think. One does need a car though.
