Very basic and cheap. It's great if you came with people and just need to crash, but I didn't, so it wasn't.

Cool place to hang out. It's a bit barebones though. If you're expecting a pampered experience, this isn't the place. But it's inexpensive, you get a decent bed, wifi, and a host of super laid back people. In the end, that's all you really need.

Good stay at Aivengo Hostel for one week. Overall great value for money. Tidy and essential. Only negative note the lack of privancy due to having the reception in front of the toilets and showers.

In the dorms there are almost no light the whole day, atmosphere is very poor, no common place or even a table where you can hang out or sit and talk orhave a drink. There is a reception and right next to it there are showers and toilets, totally zero privacy, despite it is a hostel. Everything looked different than on the pictures. At night it was very cold, blanket is some old ikea stuff, coushin is like there was none. KItchen is only a microwave and small fridge, almost inside the shower.

I stayed in the 10 bed all girls dorm and it was great. A large room at the top of about 5 stories of stairs, so prepare to be winded! The room got vaccumed each day and the dishes got washed. The room provides a fridge, microwave and hot water heater, so you can definitely bring home your leftover munches. There is only one bathroom (of average quality), and with 10 girls it is definitely of high demand, so be sure to think ahead when planning your "get ready" time. Not a party hostel.

Fantastic comfortable space, really central too! Heads up that the wifi is a bit patchy but everything else is really golden

They asked you for a 20eur key deposit which is very high considering other hostels I have stayed. The matress was very old. I pay for a female dorm but we have inside that was for another apartment where a guy live. Very weird.

Absolutely loved this hostel both me and my friend were made up with the whole stay and would 100% stay next time we go

A bed to sleep at a good price. Not much else. Friendly staff.

Loved this hostel, great location, the large female dorm is layed out similar to army barracks, had everything you could need with an awesome view.

Good location to walk anywhere, only one power bar in the room. No common room or kitchen. Saw a mouse in the room.

Its literally just a bed and a shower, very basic, not enough showers and toilets for so many beds in each dorm, luggage room too small so they spread the bags all around, no real kitchen to cook (just for basic stuff), no atmosphere. But if you don't mind about that, then it's value for the money since Amsterdam's accommodation is relatively expensive..

Stove does not work and was prohibited from being used.

+: * The staff was helpful and welcoming. * It was rather cheap. * Great location. -: * The toilets and showers were awkwardly placed at the reception. * Only few spots for 20 ppl to charge their phones and cameras and they were sparsely situated in a big dorm room. In my case it was at the opposite end of the room, right next to a door where lots of people went through... * Some beds next to the windows got quite drifty and cold, my throat got sick after three nights.

Overall we got what we payed for- a clean room in a great location, however, whilst we respect the no alcohol/smoking policy, it would have been nice to have a communal lounge or something where we could meet people. At previous hostels the bar has been a great place to meet fellow travellers and even if only soft drinks were served I feel a bar or lounge would have added to the atmosphere and made it a more enjoyable experience.

The.female dormbis on the 4th floor and there us no lift.

There wasn't really that travel Atmosphere which you have in backpacker hostels even though we stayed in a 10 dorm. Anyway the location is great! So if you just wanna experience Amsterdam and just need a bed at night it's ok.

Pretty nice flat upstairs with all girls. Location is perfect, facilities are nice. Close to train station but also very close walking distance to everything else. You won't meet many travelers here as there isn't a very good common space, but I'm not sure if any hostels in Amsterdam offer that. Overall, easy location nice facilities and comfortable stay for Amsterdam!

The 10 bed female dorm was spacious, with a lot of light, and table to sit out and eat/read in the sunshine. There is only 1 bathroom and toilet, which was clean, and had plenty of hot water, but is not convenient for a room with 10 women. I didn't use the kitchen facilities, the stove was out of order, but there is a large fridge. Lockers and towel included. Helpful staff. Overall a good experience.
