I've stayed there for two weeks and it was perfect. The dorm is very small but nice, and it has an access to a rooftop. The hostel is quiet (perfect after an exhausting day in buzzing Tokyo). The staff is friendly and very competent. This place is cosy and unpretentious. Half of the customers were japanese. It's not this kind of noisy hostel full of western travellers talking loud (lol). The location was perfect to me, low-income yet very secure neighborhood. Full of charm, close to the train.

Very friendly and helpful staff, good amenities and close to the Hibiya Line Metro so easy to get into the centre I really enjoyed my stay, I found the staff to be very helpful the hotel clean and the location whilst a little way out of the centre easy to get to on the metro. Make sure you print out a copy of the directions as it can be a bit daunting when leaving the station. The written directions are very good you just need to follow them carefully

It is designed for backpackers, not for old couples, so if you are old and you find it hard to walk long distance, this place is not suitable for you. However, this is a GREAT place for those of young bloods with passion for adventure. This hostel is everything you need in costly Japan. Overall, the hostel is GREAT with very helpful staff. We enjoyed our stay, although it was quite hard for us, since we're not used to walking long distance.

We chose this hostel because it was one of the top rated hostels in Hostelworld, but as soon as we saw the room we regreted staying there. The dormitory beds are awful. The top bunk bed did not have a proper mattress and the metal frames squeaked every time someone moved. It was truly the worst bed in Japan. The floor of the room was very dirty, nothing like the pictures. And you had to pay extra to take a shower. The location was not great either. It took us at least 30 minutes to get anywhere.

It is a nice hostel, quite classic for travelers. The owner was a friendly and helpful man. The price of 20€ per night is cheap for an expensive city like Tokyo. The photos are represeting pretty good the hostels look.

Everything about this hostel is perfect, helpful staff, clean, in a quiet part of town but with easy reach of everything you need to see in Tokyo. Will be staying here again upon my return to Tokyo to fly out. Cant wait!

The staff seemed very nice, and it looked like there were a lot of fun events for guests take part in. I wasn't thrilled with the neighborhood, but I knew it wouldn't be the best. Especially compared to the other buildings around I was impressed with how clean and well-kept Aizuya Inn seemed. As for security, I stayed in the dorm. While I wasn't sure where I could lock up my things, I also never worried about it. My roommates left their laptops out and stuff. A great value for the money!

Probably the best budget option you can find in Tokyo! The staff is very helpful and they do all that they can to help you with your stay in Japan. The rooms are spotless clean, as well as all facilities available. Yes you have to pay 100 yens for the showers but they're definitely worth it. I wouldn't go anywhere else in Tokyo with the same budget. Minami-senju is a bit far for the center, a quiet area with 3 different train lines which is very convenient to travel around -15mn walk to hostel.

My friend and myself had a nice staying at Aizuya Inn during our trip last week. It is so clean and you can get whatever you need by hiring or purchase. You can easily get to the nearest train station, MinamiSenju, and get to places you want wish to. You also can walk to the famous temple in Tokyo, Sensoji at Asakusa. We enjoyed travel around by bicycle, you can hire a bicycle from Aizuya Inn at a very cheap price, 500 yen per day. You will make a right choice by choosing Aizuya Inn.

+: Staff helpful/super polite/makes us feel at home. They recognize us in streets: we're not just patrons but friends. Lots of fun activities. Even looked after our luggage 4 an extra day. The decor seems authentically jpn:traditional+modern. its so good so we decided to stay here again. manager even offered us cheaper stay because they recognized us. despite what others say, location good. just far enough out of city for things to be cheap+real. rooms small, but huge compare to other hostels.

Highly recommended. Great friendly, courteous staff. Immaculately clean. Showers (coin operated) great. Location average, but the Tokyo metro is impeccable so it doesnt really matter. You get to stay somewhere low key in a hectic city. The hostel itself is calm, quiet. could do with another computer, though wireless throughout hostel, super fast. 30$AU for a single room (tiny) is good value in tokyo. Thanks very much, I d stay again for sure.

Showers were really good so didn't mind paying for them. You can rent video games which is great because the TV has no English channels. Close to train station and a short walk to Asakusa temple. Has lots of directions and ideas for things to do. Room was a bit cramped and the sleeping mats were a bit thin. Microwave was dirty and fridge had lots of abandoned food, kitchen was very small so its much easier to get food from 7-11 rather than cook. Laundry dryers take a long time - waste of money.

I stayed in a single room for 3 weeks and was impressed with Aizuya Inn. The location is pretty good with key sights in the Asakusa area close by and metro and railway stations only a short walk away. Aizuya Inn is very clean with nice rooms and good facilities. Staff were very friendly and helpful too. Excellent value for money and highly recommended.

Good value for money. Simple but clean and with very friendly staff. The only weak point is the location, not the safest in Tokyo and nearly lacking places to eat or drink.

Very clean, cool atmosphere nice rooftop balcony. There are plenty of interesting little touches and decorations that make this place appealing. Unfortunatly when I was there it was a complete ghost town so the fun factor was a little low. Eclectic old neighbohood. Plenty of harmless old bums and drunks wandering around the neighborhood and the fact that its so far from some of Tokyo's more interesting sights hurt the location score.

Overall a very nice place. Clean, with all the facilities you need, free WIFI, and very comfortable with the hostel's coffee shop. Train station a few minutes' walk away, so you can get around pretty easily, as well. Main cons are being outside walking distance of the city centre and the fact that showers cost money...

A very nice alternative place. It combines Japanese with Western style and the staff is always available and responding to all kinds of issues.
