It was not as nice as I expected and the front desk was not very helpful. I requested a recommendation as to a good location for a tea ceremony. The girl did not seem to have any idea as to what I was talking about even though I'm sure that I'm not the first to be interested in this cultural experience.

The common spaces are a bit small, for example to dine. I also think that the shower should be included in the hostel fee.

Wierd area but nice rooms and staff. The showers doesnt bother me, 5 minutes is a long time and 100 yen is nothing.

The place is all you need if you are looking for hostel type accommodation. It is clean, the staff are friendly and the location is a five min. walk away from the train. For the price that you get a private, airconditioned, clean room complete with a tv, free access to a computer and coffee in the lobby you can not go wrong. Enjoy.

Actually its location is not so good. also nothing is near the hostel. It is little bit far from the Minami Senju station. If you are visit Tokyo firtst time, you shoul choose other place for stay, but, you have been there many times, I stronly recommand to you. there is clean and quiet for resting. I was satisfied wiht this hostel

I like Ueno a lot and it was a short hop away from the metro. Free candy at the reception was great. Didn't like to have to pay for the shower. Also, my room smelled like wet dirty socks, which wasn't so great - other than that smell, the hostel was clean.

After traveling from cities across Japan from Tokyo to Kyoto, I can say that this hotel is the best priced for what they have to offer. Very cheap for hotel in Tokyo with highly defined standards.
